Strongest Swordsman is a unit of Mythic rarity in Universal Tower Defense X. Introduced by the Universal Festival 1.5 update, it is based on master swordsman Dracule Mihawk from the One Piece anime and manga. This unit increases its damage with every hit on an enemy, including bosses, and it unlocks the Armament Haki or Observation Haki to gain permanent buffs after a certain number of takedowns.

Here’s all you need to know about the Strongest Swordsman in Universal Tower Defense X.

How to get Strongest Swordsman in Universal Tower Defense X

You can get Strongest Swordsman from the Special Banner and the Selection Banner in Universal Tower Defense X. To access any of these gachas, head inside the Summon zone and interact with the NPC standing across the table.

Strongest Swordsman has a 0.00577% pull chance in both banners. A single summon in either of the banners costs 50 Gems, so you may need to spend thousands of these resources to obtain the new unit.

Both the Special Banner and the Selection Banner have a Mythic pity. You’re guaranteed to get a Mythic-rarity unit after 400 summons, which could be Strongest Swordsman. Consider acquiring sufficient Gems for hitting the pity requirement and test your RNG luck to obtain the Mihawk-inspired character.

    • 4x Universal Fragment
    • 8x Petal Fragment
    • 10x Sky Fragment
    • 1x Blade of the Night
    • 25,000 Gold

The easiest way to get Fragments in Universal Tower Defense X is by purchasing them from the Merchant and the Virtual Merchant. However, if you want to save the currencies, obtain the items by completing Acts in the Legend Stage.

Strongest Swordsman (Hunter) has a couple of passives. It can unlock Observation Haki and Armament Haki to gain different buffs, including health, damage, and range. Moreover, this unit can switch its sword stance to create various kinds of attacks and effects.

Below are all the passives of Strongest Swordsman (Hunter):

    Thousand Cuts

    • With every attack, the Strongest Swordsman (Hunter) deals an extra 7.5% Damage per enemy hit. This buff caps at 15 enemies hit.
    • When attacking more than one Armored Enemy, this unit deals 1.65x Damage to Armored and Hyper Armored enemies.
    • After every 100 Takedowns, this unit unlocks either Armament Haki or Observation Haki.
    • Armament Haki grants the unit 35% Damage and 50% Critical Damage.
    • Observation Haki grants the unit 500% Range and a reduced 50% SPA. It also makes the unit switch to Stance One when no enemies are in range.
    • For every 1 stud further the enemy is from this unit, the Strongest Swordsman (Hunter) deals 1% Damage per stud.
    • Attacks during Observation Haki do not count toward Sword Stances.

    Sword Stances

    • This unit has three Sword Stances and starts with Stance One on placement.
    • After every attack, the unit switches to the next Stance and instantly releases a Follow-up Attack.
    • During Stance Two, the unit has 60% Damage and 20% Critical Rate.
    • During Stance Three, the unit has 5% Critical Rate, 25% Critical Damage, and these buffs stack up to 4 times.

Given that Strongest Swordsman has passives heavily centered on crits, equip it with accessories that raise its Critical Damage, Critical Rate, and Damage. You can also reduce its attack cooldowns for more efficiency on the battlefield.
