Players will fight for a place in the quarterfinals on Day 3 (Wednesday, June 24) of the Eastbourne Open 2026. Top seed Jasmine Paolini, along with fourth seed Barbora Krejcikova and fifth seed Laura Siegemund, were knocked out on Tuesday.

Madison Keys and Jelena Ostapenko, both former Eastbourne champions, will be in the fray on Wednesday. Here’s a look at the predictions for all the singles matches lined up on Day 3 of the Eastbourne Open:

#1. Madison Keys vs Jessica Bouzas Maneiro

Keys kicked off her Eastbourne Open campaign with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Talia Gibson, while Bouzas Maneiro beat Alicia Dudeney 6-0, 6-3 in her opener. Keys has compiled an 18-9 record this year, while Bouzas Maneiro has a 10-15 record.

The Eastbourne Open has been a happy hunting ground for Keys. She won her maiden career title here in 2014, and hoisted the winner’s trophy for the second time in 2023. This will be her first meeting against Bouzas Maneiro. While the Spaniard is a competent player on grass, she has a 1-6 record against top 50 players this year. Her struggles against quality opponents makes Keys the favorite to win this match.

    Winner: Madison Keys

#2. Caty McNally vs Emiliana Arango

McNally scored a hard-fought 7-5, 6-7 (5), 6-3 win over sixth seed Janice Tjen in the first round. She improved her record on grass this season to 4-2 with the win. Arango came through the qualifying rounds and upset defending champion Maya Joint in straight sets in the first round. It marked her first main draw win on grass this year.

This will be the first encounter between the two. Arango was on a nine-match losing streak on grass prior to the Eastbourne Open, with her previous win coming during the Wimbledon 2023 qualifiers. She has also lost all six of her matches against top 50 players this year. Her dismal record against top players this season and her underwhelming record on grass makes her the underdog against McNally.

    Winner: Caty McNally

#3. Jelena Ostapenko vs Panna Udvardy

Ostapenko dispatched Francesca Jones 6-2, 6-2 in the first round to begin her grass season on a winning note. Udvardy led Anna Bondar by a set and 3-2 in the first round when the latter retired due to an injury. It marked her second win on grass this year.

The two will lock horns for the first time. Ostapenko has been quite inconsistent this season. She has won back-to-back matches only thrice across her previous 13 tournaments. Fortunately for her, Udvardy’s 2-14 career record against top 50 players does give her enough room to impose her attacking brand of tennis.

    Winner: Jelena Ostapenko

#4. McCartney Kessler vs Anhelina Kalinina

Kessler beat Daria Kasatkina 6-3, 7-6 (3) in the first round. She snapped her three-match losing skid with the win and scored her first win of the grass swing in the process. She lost in the first round of last week’s Nottingham Open as the defending champion.

Kalinina scored a 7-6 (1), 7-5 win over Daria Snigur in her opener here. It was her first main draw win of the grass season. This will be her first career meeting against Kessler. While both are evenly matched in terms of their results this year, Kessler’s prior title on grass makes her the slight favorite to win this contest.

    Winner: McCartney Kessler

#5. Tatjana Maria vs Anastasia Zakharova

    Winner: Tatjana Maria

#6. Ajla tomljanovic vs Tereza Valentova

    Winner: Ajla Tomljanovic

#7. Sara Bejlek vs Zeynep Sonmez

    Winner: Zeynep Sonmez

#8. Petra Marcinko vs Kimberly Birrell

    Winner: Petra Marcinko
