Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti has made a big claim on Neymar’s possible inclusion in the team ahead of their FIFA World Cup clash against Scotland. The former Real Madrid and AC Milan coach has confirmed that Barcelona star Raphinha will miss the Selecao’s final group-stage game against Scotland.

Raphinha was forced off in the 40th minute in Brazil’s 4-0 win against Haiti on Friday, June 19. Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that the former Leeds United winger will be sidelined against Scotland in their next FIFA World Cup clash.

Ancelotti has claimed that he has already decided who will replace Raphinha in the starting XI but has not named the player. He has also claimed that Neymar is fit and will be available for selection. He said, as quoted by NYTimes:

“He is available, he trained very well this week. He is fit and able and ready to play. We are very happy he is back. He is a high-quality player. He can play from half-time or the whole 90 minutes. He is very well, he worked very hard, so he is ready. His attitude is very good, he’s in good spirits, he’s a good player, a good teammate. He’s very serious and we want to get him back to playing as soon as possible. I’m very happy. He brings experience, knowledge — he is doing very well.”

Ancelotti has also claimed that Endrick could play and insisted that fans will support both Neymar and Endrick. He said:

“Endrick can play every game, he can play the next game, and he can play at any time because he has the ability to play. The fans are really pushing Endrick, but tomorrow we also have Neymar. Will they support Neymar or Endrick? I think they’ll support both.”

Neymar is yet to feature in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, having been out with a calf injury. Meanwhile, Endrick was an unused substitute against Morocco and came on from the bench in Brazil‘s 3-0 win against Haiti.

Neymar shares fitness update ahead of Brazil’s final FIFA World Cup group stage match against Scotland

Brazilian superstar Neymar has shared an emotional update about his fitness ahead of the Selecao’s final FIFA World Cup group-stage clash against Scotland. The 34-year-old is yet to feature in the tournament so far due to a calf injury he sustained while playing for Santos.

Neymar shared an update on X to express his happiness to have come back from injury ahead of the Scotland game. He posted:

“Thank you, my God 🙏🏼 so incredibly happy!!”

Neymar’s last appearance in a Brazil shirt was back in October 2023 and he was somewhat of a surprise inclusion in Carlo Ancelotti’s FIFA World Cup squad. He is the second-highest capped player in the Selecao’s history and is also their highest scorer of all time, scoring 79 times in 128 appearances.
