    Several fans noticed the false claim that Azzi Fudd broke the record for most 3-pointers made in a single game by a rookie in the league. The record is held by Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark and former WNBA guard Crystal Robinson.

    On Monday, WNBA on NBC and Peacock posted that Fudd recorded the most 3-pointers made by a rookie with six. The 2026 No. 1 pick finished with a career-high 24 points in the Dallas Wings’ 91-76 win over the New York Liberty on Sunday. She shot 9-for-15, including 6-for-12 from 3-point range

    Several fans on X reacted to the false information, with some speculating that there is an agenda against Clark.

    “Because they desperately want to downplay Caitlin’s career,” one fan tweeted.

    @nosyone4 Because they desperately want to downplay Caitlin’s career.

    @nosyone4 @CaitlinMuse22 I’m surprised they didn’t say well it was the most ever 3s by a rookie on a Sunday in May on the road

    @nosyone4 a Fan page with azzi profile called people clan for calling out fake stat

    Here are other reactions:

    @nosyone4 It’s not a mistake, it’s a lie.

    @nosyone4 @caitlinsmartin It’s definitely not ignorance 😏👍

    Lmao it’s the @WNBA bruh. 🤣🤣🤣 what did you expect. The most poverty league there is. They literally can’t do anything right. However, complaining? Wow they nail it every time.

    At the time of this writing, NBC and Peacock’s tweet about Fudd breaking the rookie record was nonexistent and might already have been deleted.

    The Fever selected Clark with the No. 1 pick of the 2024 WNBA draft. On June 7, 2024, she scored 30 points on 8-for-15 shooting, including 7-for-13 from 3-point range in an 85-83 win over the Washington Mystics. She tied Robinson’s rookie record with the seven 3-pointers, which was set in 1999.

    Last season, Clark also made seven 3-pointers in a game against the New York Liberty on June 14. In Indiana’s 104-102 overtime loss to the Washington Mystics on May 15, the Fever star also hit the mark, finishing with 32 points on 7-for-17 from the 3-point line. The seven 3-pointers made remain Clark’s career-high.

    Caitlin Clark made her first appearance at the Indy 500

    Caitlin Clark was tapped as the grand marshal for the Indianapolis 500 NASCAR race on Sunday. Race officials made the announcement early last week, after trying to tap the two-time WNBA All-Star the last couple of years.

    Clark gave the traditional “Drivers, to your cars” command ahead of the 110th edition of the race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

    Sunday marked the Indiana Fever star’s first appearance at the Indy 500. Last season, the Fever had a home game before the race day and in Caitlin Clark’s rookie year, they played a game during the race weekend.
