The approvals were cleared at the regulator’s meeting held in Hyderabad on July 28.
ProTec General Insurance will be allowed to undertake general insurance business under the applicable regulatory framework. The four registrations granted so far in calendar 2026 include two general insurers, one health insurer and one reinsurer, Irdai said.
