Samantha Busch will be honored later this month for the work she and her late husband Kyle Busch dedicated to helping families facing infertility. On August 5, the Carlos Rodón Foundation announced that Samantha and the two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion will receive the Seeds of Hope Award during the Third Annual Willow Gala in New York City on August 24.
The recognition comes from the Carlos Rodón Foundation, which was established by New York Yankees pitcher Carlos Rodón and his wife Ashley after their own experience with infertility and pregnancy loss. Their annual gala raises funds to expand access to fertility treatments through its Willow Grant program, which helps couples afford IVF and other treatments.

Announcing this year’s gala, Carlos and Ashley Rodón explained why the foundation continues to prioritize helping families struggling with infertility (via Jayski):
“Having experienced the heartbreak of pregnancy loss firsthand, we created the Willow Grant to give couples real support when they need it most. Navigating infertility is one of the hardest journeys a couple can face, and cost should never be the reason a family has to give up hope. The Third Annual Willow Gala is an opportunity for our community to come together to ensure that financial barriers never stand between hopeful parents and the family they dream of.”
Founded in 2024, the Carlos Rodón Foundation has already committed $587,500 toward supporting families through 50 grants, resulting in three babies being born, 12 more on the way, and dozens of families currently undergoing treatment. Kyle and Samantha Busch’s Bundle of Joy Fund has partnered with the foundation to expand those efforts through shared Willow Grants.
The award also recognizes the Busch family’s long-standing commitment to infertility advocacy. After nearly a decade of fertility challenges, including Samantha’s polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), male-factor infertility, multiple miscarriages and six rounds of IVF, the couple launched The Bundle of Joy Fund. Since its creation, the initiative has awarded 178 grants, distributed $2,388,784 in funding and helped bring 111 babies into the world.
Samantha Busch continues Kyle Busch’s legacy through Bowman Gray Invitational
Over the past three months, Samantha Busch has openly shared how she has been adjusting to life following Kyle Busch’s passing. She has frequently written about relying on her faith and trusting God instead of trying to plan every step ahead. Last month, she also revealed that she and Kyle had planned a private trip to Italy to celebrate her 40th birthday before his death.
This week, Samantha reflected on the family’s journey while promoting the Kyle Busch Invitational, which will benefit The Bundle of Joy Fund. Alongside a video featuring Kyle, she wrote:
“Watching Kyle become a dad is one of the greatest privileges of my life. For everything he accomplished in racing, nothing compared to being Brexton and Lennix’s dad. They were his greatest joy. He loved the late nights at the track with Brex, the bedtime routines with Lennix, and all of the little moments in between that most people never got to see. Family was always what mattered most to him. That’s why The Bundle of Joy Fund has always been so close to our hearts.”
Samantha Busch added:
“That’s a legacy I’ll spend my life carrying forward. We’ll be celebrating that legacy at the Kyle Busch Invitational… I hope you’ll join us as we honor Kyle, support families on their journey to parenthood, and continue the work that means so much to both of us. 💚”
Samantha Busch invited fans to attend the Kyle Busch Invitational benefiting The Bundle of Joy Fund on August 21 at Bowman Gray Stadium. The event will honor his legacy while raising funds to continue helping families pursuing parenthood.
