The Seattle Storm and Dallas Wings will play the first game of the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup on Monday. It will be the sixth year since the league implemented the in-season tournament. The competition will end on June 17, while the championship game will be on June 30.

Ahead of the contest, the league posted a graphic to market the event. The graphic that was posted featured stars like Caitlin Clark, Breanna Stewart, Angel Reese, Paige Bueckers and more.

However, some fans found some issues to nitpick in the graphic that the WNBA used. Here are some of the comments from the fans.

“Lmaooo of course whites in the front,” a fan said.

“Why tf is Paige x Angel in the back and cc is in the front? Yall are f**king stupid for this s**t 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡” another fan commented.

“The chances that not a single international player got on this graphic is quite low, admin,” one fan said.

More fans continued to call out the league for the graphic they used.

“Not a single international player is on this graphic. Carla should be on here instead of Sarah Ashlee-Barker,” someone commented.

“Having Soni and CC doing the same pose by each other doesn’t look right. Should of had one of the two do Sykes’s pose or Stewie’s pose,” a comment read.

“Kiki should be the face of the Mystics u goofy clowns 🤡” one fan commented.

On the first night of the Commissioner’s Cup, there will be two games. After the Storm-Wings game, the Minnesota Lynx and the Phoenix Mercury are set to close the evening out.

The Mystics Made a Pact to Donate Their WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Earnings

The Washington Mystics are off to a grand start to their Commissioner’s Cup stretch. The team announced that they would donate their earnings from the tournament to the Ben’S Chili Bowl Foundation.

In every win, the Mystics will give $3,000 to the cause, and they will add $1,000 for every loss. The organization also handed $10,000 to the foundation before the in-season tournament began.

“We are deeply honored that the Washington Mystics have chosen the Ben’s Chili Bowl Foundation as their WNBA Commissioner’s Cup beneficiary,” Virginia Ali, the owner and founder of the famed restaurant, said. “At Ben’s, community has always been at the heart of everything we do. We truly appreciate the Mystics’ commitment to giving back and creating meaningful impact across Washington, D.C., and beyond.”

The Mystics released a statement regarding their decision about the Commissioner’s Cup.

“We are thrilled to continue a longstanding partnership with Ben’s Chili Bowl and the Ben’s Chili Bowl Foundation to support the Washington, D.C., community through this season’s Commissioner’s Cup,” said Dana Campbell, the Mystics’ vice president of marketing.

Last year, Washington finished the in-season tournament with a 2-3 record. This year, they look to do an even better job.
