NFL teams have ramped up their preparations for next season with the training camps underway this month. With the 2026 season edging closer, The Athletic released its projected first round of fantasy drafts this week.
The Athletic’s projected first round draft has been dominated by running backs and wide receivers with Atlanta Falcons RB Bijan Robinson topping the list. However, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb didn’t make the list of top 12 projections.
Thanks for the submission!

“Ceedee not included in first round is diabolical.”
“Three WRs in the top five tells you everything about PPR evolution. RBs still rule, but elite pass-catchers are closing fast.”
“You’re welcome for the AJ Brown at 12 engagement bait.”
“If that’s how it shakes, perfect! I’ll take Lamb at 10 and Bowers at 11. If any of my fantasy league members are seeing this, please let this be a possibility 😆”
“Give me James cook at 10 all day.”
Although Lamb missed three games due to an ankle sprain last season, he tallied 1000+ receiving yards for a fifth consecutive year, becoming the first Cowboys player to do so since Dallas legend Michael Irvin.
Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb expected to bounce back in 2026
Despite a drop-off in his production last season, CeeDee Lamb earned the Pro Bowl nod for a fifth consecutive season. The five-time Pro Bowler dropped from No. 35 to No. 55 in this year’s NFL Top 100 list.
The Cowboys star posted 75 receptions for 1,077 yards with three total touchdowns. Lamb is expected to bounce back this season as the Cowboys WR said earlier this month that he hasn’t “felt this good or this healthy in 2 years.”
