3 Reasons Seth Rollins Should Reject Solo Sikoa’s Shield Proposal

The Road to WWE SummerSlam 2026 has become even more complicated for Seth Rollins after Solo Sikoa made a shocking proposal on RAW. With Roman Reigns standing opposite the former Vision leader in one of the biggest matches of the year, Solo unexpectedly offered to stand alongside Rollins and revive a version of The Shield to take down the Tribal Chief.

On paper, the idea sounds tempting. The Visionary and Reigns dominated WWE together for years. Also, Solo has every reason to seek revenge against his cousin. However, accepting the proposal could end up being the biggest mistake of Rollins’ career.

That said, in this article, we look at three reasons why Seth Rollins should reject Solo Sikoa’s Shield proposal.

More recently, even Sikoa’s own faction abandoned him. On the June 26 edition of SmackDown, Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga walked out on Solo, explaining that they were tired of his obsession with Roman Reigns and were following orders from Bloodline elders.

That moment exposed exactly why Seth Rollins should stay away. The Street Champion has betrayed leaders before. Also, he’s been abandoned by followers who no longer believed in him. His alliances have consistently fallen apart, perhaps because they are built on personal ambition rather than trust.

Even if Solo Sikoa genuinely wants revenge against Roman Reigns, nothing is stopping him from turning on Rollins the moment it benefits him.

#2. Accepting Solo’s offer could drag the entire Bloodline into SummerSlam

Seth Rollins doesn’t simply need to beat Roman Reigns. He needs to isolate him. By accepting Solo Sikoa’s proposal, Rollins would almost certainly turn a one-on-one rivalry into another Bloodline civil war.

That chaos will work against The Visionary. SummerSlam should be about proving Roman Reigns can’t beat him when it matters the most, not surviving another multi-person Bloodline conflict. The more people involved, the less likely it becomes that Seth Rollins will get the definitive victory he has been chasing.

Thus, keeping Solo Sikoa away from the match gives Rollins the best opportunity to focus entirely on Roman rather than worrying about unpredictable outside interference from either side.

Solo Sikoa currently finds himself in unfamiliar territory. His faction has collapsed, his allies have walked away, and Roman Reigns has regained much of the momentum within The Bloodline story. Thus, aligning himself with Seth Rollins suddenly gives Solo relevance again heading into WWE’s biggest event of the summer.

That should immediately raise red flags. From Solo’s perspective, joining forces with Rollins offers several advantages. He gets another opportunity to attack Roman, places himself back in WWE’s biggest storyline, and potentially positions himself to regain influence after months of setbacks.

But what exactly does The Visionary gain? He already has a SummerSlam title opportunity. More importantly, he doesn’t need Solo to validate his chances of beating Roman Reigns. If anything, Sikoa stands to benefit far more from the partnership than Rollins does.

Also, there’s the possibility that The Street Champion has no intention of staying loyal in the first place. A betrayal during the biggest match of the year would instantly put him back at the center of WWE programming while leaving Seth Rollins to suffer the consequences.

Considering Solo Sikoa’s history of shifting allegiances whenever circumstances change, Rollins would be taking an enormous gamble by placing his trust in someone whose priorities have always revolved around his own rise to power.

At SummerSlam 2026, The Visionary needs complete focus, not unnecessary distractions. Thus, rejecting Solo Sikoa’s Shield proposal would allow him to pursue the defining victory of his career on his own terms while avoiding the unpredictable chaos that inevitably follows Sikoa.
