While Detroit Tigers‘ second baseman Gleyber Torres made an immediate difference following his return from another oblique injury, his wife, Elizabeth Rodriguez, made waves on social media by donning a printed bikini with a chequered blue lining.

Elizabeth paired her look with a clutched bun, a double-layered silver chain, a pair of heart earrings. She stood in front of an unnamed beach as she posed, looking away from the camera.

Gleyber Torres and his wife Elizabeth Rodriguez were both born in Caracas, Venezuela. They have been married for almost nine years as of 2026. The two were high school sweethearts and had a long relationship before tying the knot in their home country, Venezuela, in April 2017, as per Sports Illustrated. They share a son together, named Ethan, who was born on March 20, 2022.

On Family Day, Elizabeth posted a sweet snapshot of their family of three at Comerica Park, sporting Tigers jerseys.

“More life , more love & more memories ♥️” – Elizabeth Rodriguez captioned her Family Day post on Instagram.

Gleyber Torres adds immediate offensive boost to Tigers’ lineup on return from IL

The Tigers’ second baseman made his presence known to the Detroit lineup on his return on Monday. To make space for him on the roster, C Eduardo Valencia was optioned to Triple-A Toledo following yesterday’s game. He showed his offensive dominance by recording two hits in Monday night’s 8-6 victory over the Chicago ballclub.

In a post-game interview, Tigers’ catcher Dillon Dingler said:

“We’ve been missing him for sure, and really glad he’s back. The quality of at-bats that he gives, the leadership that he has out there, it’s huge. We’re really happy to have him back.” – Tigers catcher Dillon Dingler remarked.

Last year, the 3x All-Star hit the IL in May with the same injury. Tigers’ manager A.J. Hinch noted that Torres’ “a little bit of nerves” and “energy” at the at-bats resulted in the Tigers’ win over the Cubs.

The 29-year-old is currently batting .288 with 4 home runs, 18 RBIs, and a .805 OPS in the 45 games he has played so far in 2026.
