A 43-year-old forgotten AEW star recently shared her intentions for the future amid a prolonged absence from the Jacksonville-based promotion.

The star we are talking about is none other than Nyla Rose. The 43-year-old is widely regarded as an All Elite Wrestling original, having joined the promotion in its inaugural year (2019). The Native Beast would go on to win the Women’s World Championship, becoming the first openly transgender champion in a major American professional wrestling promotion. Despite her stature, Rose has not appeared on AEW programming since November 2024. However, the latest reports indicate that the American Kaiju remains under contract with Tony Khan’s promotion. Now, Rose has finally addressed her future in All Elite Wrestling and made her intentions known.

In a recent appearance on fellow AEW wrestler Thunder Rosa’s YouTube channel, the Native Beast, while responding to a user in the chat, revealed who she would want to face upon returning to the promotion. Rosa named Thekla, making her intentions clear about reclaiming the Women’s World championship.

“If (All Elite Wrestling) were to use me right now, who would I wanna face? Um, Thekla of course. Get that championship back. Honestly, anybody really,” said Rose

Then another user in the chat stated they wanted to see the Native Beast back in action in All Elite Wrestling, to which the Rose replied:

“Aww, that’s so sweet. I definitely wanna be back as well.” [H/T: Fightful]

Check out her comments in the video below:

Although her AEW status is up in the air, Nyla Rose has continued to appear on the independent circuit. Rose, who last competed in an All Elite Wrestling context at Rampage in 2024, competed at Pro-Wrestling EVE’s Queendom event in London. The American Kaiju was part of a Sudden Death 16 match.

As for the future, the Native Beast is scheduled to compete at Dream Star Fighting Marigold’s upcoming Shine Forever event on May 23 in Tokyo, Japan. Rose will team with Nagisa Nozaki, Nightshade, and Johnnie Robbie to take on Natsumi Showzuki, Nao Ishikawa, Koshino Syoko, and Angel Hayze in a multi-person tag bout.
