Fatal Influence finally reached the top of WWE’s women’s tag team division at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLV. Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid captured the tag titles with plenty of help from Jacy Jayne, thus adding another major accolade to the faction’s growing résumé. Their victory immediately changed the landscape of the division and gave every established team a reason to target them.
The trio has made a habit of bending the rules to get ahead. However, remaining champions could prove to be a much tougher task. With SummerSlam fast approaching, Triple H has several compelling directions he could take, from revisiting unfinished rivalries to introducing fresh challengers capable of ending Fatal Influence’s reign before it truly gets going.
Thanks for the submission!
This article will look at three teams who could be next in line for a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
#3. Paige and Brie Bella
The former champions have the strongest claim to another title match. Paige and Brie Bella entered Saturday Night’s Main Event XLV as the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. However, their reign came to an abrupt end after Jacy Jayne once again inserted herself into the action. Rather than defeating the champions outright, Fatal Influence capitalized on the distraction to leave with the gold.
That controversial finish leaves plenty of unfinished business. WWE has often built compelling championship rivalries around disputed finishes. Thus, this situation is no different. Paige and Brie can rightfully argue they were never beaten on equal terms, giving General Manager Nick Aldis every reason to grant them a rematch.
Also, the rivalry benefits the new champions. Winning the titles was a major accomplishment. However, retaining them against a legendary duo like Paige and Brie Bella would go a long way toward legitimizing Fatal Influence’s reign.
Thus, if Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid can prove they belong at the top by defeating the former champions again, this time without controversy, it would establish them as the premier team in the division.
Even if WWE doesn’t want to extend the feud for months, one final championship showdown would provide a satisfying conclusion while allowing the division to move forward.
#2. Nia Jax and Lash Legend
Nia Jax and Lash Legend have quietly become one of the most dangerous teams in WWE’s women’s division, thus making them ideal challengers for Fatal Influence’s newly won WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Unlike makeshift pairings, Jax and Legend have already established themselves as a unit. Their chemistry has continued to improve with each outing. Also, their combination of overwhelming power and athleticism makes them unlike any other team on the roster. Few duos can match Nia’s brute strength while also keeping pace with Lash’s explosiveness and agility. That unique combination could present Fatal Influence with its biggest test yet.
Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid have relied heavily on Jacy Jayne’s interference to gain an advantage in high-pressure situations. However, facing Nia and Lash would force the champions into an entirely different type of battle. The challengers have the physical tools to neutralize Fatal Influence’s usual tactics, thus making it much harder for the champions to control the pace of the match.
Also, the rivalry writes itself from a competitive standpoint. Nia and Lash have been climbing the ranks as a tag team. Thus, a championship opportunity would feel earned rather than rushed. Challenging the newly crowned champions would be the natural next step in their rise.
If Triple H wants Fatal Influence’s first major title defense to feel like a genuine obstacle, Nia Jax and Lash Legend are among the most credible options. A victory over such a dominant tandem would instantly validate the champions’ reign. Meanwhile, a title change would cement Nia and Lash as WWE’s newest powerhouse team.
#1. Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez could challenge Fatal Influence
Before Paige and Brie Bella captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez were one of the division’s most dominant teams.
Although they came up short against the Bella Twins during Paige and Brie’s title reign, they have remained a constant presence near the top of the tag team scene and continue to represent one of RAW’s strongest tandems.
Raquel brings unmatched power and experience. Meanwhile, Roxanne’s speed, technical ability, and opportunistic offense make them a difficult team to prepare for. Together, they have consistently proven they can hang with any duo in WWE.
Also, a rivalry with Fatal Influence would pit two of WWE’s most cunning factions against one another. Jacy Jayne’s constant interference would almost certainly be met by The Judgment Day. Thus, creating chaotic encounters where strategy becomes just as important as in-ring ability.
From a booking perspective, the match feels fresh because these teams have never crossed paths with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the line. Rather than revisiting an old rivalry, Triple H could showcase two heel teams battling to establish themselves as the undisputed force in the women’s tag division.
If Fatal Influence wants to prove its title win at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLV wasn’t a fluke, defeating an accomplished team like Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez would be one of the best ways to legitimize its reign.
