Yung Filly reportedly found not guilty of sexual assault charges after Australian show

British YouTuber and rapper Andrés “Yung Filly” Felipe was recently deemed not guilty of sexual assault by a jury in Perth on July 31, 2026. For context, the rapper was charged with three counts of sexual penetration without consent related to allegations made by a woman following a September 2024 concert in Perth. At his recent trial, Felipe was found not guilty of these counts.

Leading up to the July 2026 trial, Yung Filly was arrested in Brisbane in October 2024 over allegations stemming from an encounter with a 20-year-old woman at a Perth hotel after one of his Australian tour performances. He was extradited to Perth, granted bail, and later pleaded not guilty to all charges.

In June 2025, prosecutors added two more counts of sexual penetration without consent, bringing the case to a total of six rape-related charges, three assault charges, and one choking charge. Now, the July 2026 trial lasted about eight days, with the complainant, medical experts, and Filly himself giving evidence before the case went to the jury.

While Yung Filly was found not guilty on the three sexual penetration counts, the verdict was mixed. According to the BBC, he was found guilty of two counts of assault causing bodily harm, and the jury could not reach a verdict on three other rape charges, resulting in a hung jury on those counts.

Assault convictions against Yung Filly remain following recent Perth trial

While he was acquitted on some of the sexual assault allegations, the assault convictions remain, and the unresolved rape counts could still be retried. He is scheduled to return to court for further proceedings related to sentencing and the outstanding charges. Prosecutors will now decide whether to seek a retrial on these charges.

The BBC stated that Filly “reportedly cried” after the verdict was read out. He is currently on bail until August 21, 2026, when the court will determine the verdict on the charges for which he was found guilty.

In other news, Yung Filly returned to social media in September 2025, a year after the sexual assault charges.
