A WWE superstar has teased competing in a Hair vs. Mask match. The popular gimmick match gained prominence once again during the El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) vs. Original El Grande Americano (Chad Gable) match in AAA.

Now, current WWE Champion CM Punk wants to run it back. The Voice of the Voiceless is preparing for his SummerSlam match against Cody Rhodes, but he is open to making his AAA debut.

Speaking with Ringside Collectibles recently, he talked about the Ultimate Moments CM Punk Straight Edge Society action figure. He said with AAA doing well and having a show scheduled in Chicago, it might be time for him to show up in the promotion.

“Triplemania is going to be partly in Las Vegas this year. We just announced a show for them at the Allstate Arena. It might be the perfect time for me to kind of dip my toe in the AAA pool,” he said.

He then alluded to his run in the Straight Edge Society faction, which saw him compete against Rey Mysterio in a Hair vs. Mask match at Over The Limit 2010. Punk lost the match and had his head shaved, and he started wearing a mask to cover himself. The WWE Champion said he would be open to doing something similar again.

“I’ve worn a mask before; I’ve gotten my head shaved in a Mask vs. Hair match before. We can set the table, and we can do it all over again in 2026. I think a lot of the lucha fans would appreciate the hell out of that, and we’d sell some masks,” he added.

Earlier, during the San Diego Comic Con panel, he teased facing AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio at the Chicago show.

CM Punk received an offer for his WWE Championship

During the San Diego Comic Con, CM Punk attended the panel alongside his wife, AJ Lee, and WWE superstar Danhausen.

At one point, Danhausen told Punk that he doesn’t have a Championship as he does, but said he had money.

The Very Nice, Very Evil star offered the Second City Saint $300 in exchange for the Title.
