Star India cricketer Virat Kohli‘s sister, Bhawna Kohli Dhingra, shared moments from the Raksha Bandhan celebration with her brothers. It is a festival where brothers and sisters celebrate their bond.

In a story on her Instagram handle, Bhawna put up a couple of pictures (in a single post) from the celebration. There was a picture of her tying rakhi (a sacred decorative thread) around Virat Kohli’s wrist. However, only his wrist was seen in the picture. The post had another picture of herself with Vikas Kohli, who is Virat’s elder brother.

“No matter where life takes us, my prayers will always find you,” the caption read.

The star Indian batter and former captain is the youngest of the Kohli siblings. Recently, he was spotted at the Delhi airport twice. The first was when he landed in the city with his wife, Anushka Sharma, and the second was when the couple were leaving after their visit, as they subsequently travel back to London after every visit.

When he was spotted while leaving, Virat Kohli was seen wearing a rakhi on his wrist ahead of Raksha Bandhan, indicating he had celebrated the occasion a few days in advance. The festival was celebrated on Friday, August 28.

Virat Kohli was last seen in action during the England series

Virat Kohli was last seen on the cricket field during India’s tour of England, where they played a three-match ODI series. The right-hander displayed good form, scoring 144 runs from three innings at an average of 48.00 and a strike rate of 109.09.

He also scored a couple of fifties, with his top score of 74 coming during the third ODI at Lord’s. The knock came off just 60 balls with the help of four boundaries and three sixes at a strike rate of 123.33.

With Kohli now playing only the 50-over format in international cricket, fans will have to wait to see him back in action. He will return when India host the West Indies for a three-match ODI series beginning in late September. He will aim to carry his form and perform consistently to keep his place in the side for the 2027 World Cup.
