    Stocks making the biggest moves after hours: GOOGL, TSLA, IBM, LVS

    Check out the companies making headlines in extended trading. Alphabet — Shares fell more than 4% after the company raised its capital expenditures forecast for 2026 to a range of $195 billion to $205 billion, pointing to artificial intelligence demand. Separately, Alphabet posted revenue of $119.8 billion in the fiscal second quarter, topping expectations of $116.93 billion, according to LSEG. Rollins — The pest control company dropped about 10% after second quarter results fell short of Wall Street’s expectations. Rollins posted earnings of 30 cents per share on revenue of $1.08 billion, while the FactSet consensus called for 34 cents a share and $1.09 billion in revenue. Management pointed to slower growth in parts Rollins’ residential pest control business as a factor in the results. Shutterstock – The image, footage and music platform dropped 10% post-market after suspending its quarterly dividend. Former CEO Paul Hennessy stepped down effective immediately July 13, two weeks after Getty Images walked away from a deal to buy Shutterstock. ServiceNow — Shares of the enterprise software company jumped more than 2%. ServiceNow surpassed analysts’ estimates in the second quarter, with adjusted earnings of 90 cents a share on revenue of $3.99 billion. That compares to the LSEG consensus of 85 cents per share and $3.93 billion in revenue. The company also lifted its outlook for subscription revenue in the full year. Las Vegas Sands — The casino operator lost 6% on the heels of top and bottom line misses in its latest quarter. Las Vegas Sands posted adjusted earnings of 59 cents per share, missing the LSEG consensus call for 75 cents. Revenue also fell short of estimates, coming in at $3.15 billion versus the Street’s forecast for $3.33 billion. SL Green Realty – The New York City commercial real estate investment trust posted second-quarter revenue of $171.8 million, less than analysts’ consensus of $179.0 million, according to FactSet data. SL Green had climbed 16% over the past three months going into the results, almost three times the gain in the S & P 500. Shares were last down more than 4% in extended trading. QuantumScape – Shares of the battery manufacturer slid 3% after the company posted a loss of 16 cents per share for the most recent quarter, which was narrower than the 18 cents per share loss analysts expected, per FactSet. The company reaffirmed guidance for full-year adjusted loss before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization between $250 million and $275 million, while the FactSet consensus estimate was for a loss of $256 million. Medpace Holdings — The provider of outsourced clinical development services to healthcare customers soared about 19% after second-quarter earnings per share and revenue topped Wall Street analysts’ consensus estimates, and raising full-year earnings, revenue and EBITDA guidance above Medpace’s prior forecasts. CSX — The railroad operator’s stock jumped 4% as strong demand for intermodal shipments and higher prices led to better-than-expected second-quarter results. CSX earned 54 cents a share, two cents better than analysts expected, according to FactSet. Revenue rose 10% to $3.94 billion, outpacing the $3.89 billion expected. IBM — IBM shares were higher by about 2% despite posting quarterly results that trailed consensus estimates. The tech vendor issued an earnings warning last week. Adjusted earnings of $2.93 per share slightly missed consensus estimates by 4 cents per share, per LSEG. Revenue of $17.16 billion fell slightly short of estimates of $17.58 billion. Tesla — The EV maker fell 3% after reporting adjusted earnings of 33 cents per share for the latest quarter, missing expectations by 18 cents per share, according to LSEG. The company beat on revenue, posting $28.24 billion compared to expectations of $25.71 billion. Texas Instruments — The chipmaker’s shares fell about 3% despite the company reporting a beat on the top and bottom lines. Earnings per share of $2.14 topped expectations of $1.93, according to LSEG. Revenue for the quarter was $5.46 billion, compared to estimates of $5.25 billion. Southwest Airlines — The airline was down 1% following its quarterly results. The company’s revenue of $8.43 billion missed estimates of $8.58 billion, per LSEG. Southwest’s third-quarter forecast also came up short. United Rentals — The equipment rental company rose 10% on the back of an earnings beat and a guidance raise. United Rentals posted adjusted earnings of $12.76 in the second quarter on revenue of $4.41 billion, surpassing the FactSet consensus estimate of $11.54 per share and $4.21 billion. The company also hiked its full-year outlook, calling for revenue in a range of $17.5 billion to $17.8 billion, beating analysts’ forecast for $17.27 billion. — CNBC’s Scott Schnipper and Christina Cheddar-Berk contributed reporting
