Ricochet has once more fired another shot at WWE following Night 1 of this year’s edition of SummerSlam. He responded to another person’s sarcastic comments about the show.
The leader of The Demand has always been chronically online, and many have even labeled him as a troll, as he relished going after people on the internet, both fans and wrestlers alike. This is consistent with his on-screen character in AEW, so people have gotten used to this.
Following SummerSlam tonight, pop culture and wrestling journalist Ryan Satin made a sarcastic post about how he fully supported the PLE being split into two nights as there would now be more commercials shown.
Ricochet replied to the post and laughed at this. He also seemed to share the same belief.
“Commericals** lol,” the AEW star wrote.
Ricochet responds to criticism of AEW fans
While he is often in character while online, the Lightskin Kingpin is not always going after people on the internet in an unfiltered manner. He has also been vocal about defending AEW and its stars.
Recently, Bryan Alvarez expressed his frustration towards the fan and how they’d go after him if he had any criticism for the promotion. He mentioned how this came from a great place, and he wanted them to grow. Ricochet responded to this and mentioned how the fans were also critical of the product, but most of the time they enjoyed it.
“This just isn’t true. AEW fans criticize the show all the time. Its just that they actually, for the most part, enjoy what they see.” – posted Ricochet on X/Twitter.
The comments about WWE and their commercials are nothing new, as during their weekly programming and PLE there has been criticism about the breaks eating up a lot of time. But it seems that the promotion is not focused on changing this anytime soon.
Despite this, SummerSlam still looks to be a great success, as they had great attendance numbers, and the fans have been talking about the show all night. It remains to be seen whether they can keep the momentum going for Night 2.
