Paul Wight finally returned to AEW programming at Dynamite: Beach Break this Wednesday. Following his comeback, the 7-footer shared a personal update on social media.
Paul Wight (fka the Big Show) is finally back in All Elite Wrestling after being absent from TV for over two years. His return came during the pre-show of this year’s Dynamite: Beach Break event, when he came to the aid of AEW legend Sting’s son, Steve Borden Jr., and his ally Kiran Grey. The duo was being attacked by Jay Lethal and Blake Christian. In vintage Big Show fashion, the World’s Largest Athlete quickly asserted himself and hit some of his trademark moves on his opponents, including the “Shhh!” corner chest chop.
This was the first time Wight got physical in an AEW ring since November 2023, and it was presented as a fun, nostalgic moment for fans. Following the appearance, the former WWE Champion broke his social media silence by posting a reel on Instagram showing him doing one of his cardio routines.
“This is my one of my cardio routines. Onward and upward. I do this for 60 minutes. Usually burn right at 1000-1200 calories. Lot of fuel to keep this truck going, Wight posted on IG.

Paul Wight (fka The Big Show) is grateful for AEW President Tony Khan’s confidence in him
Paul Wight has been active in the wrestling business for over three decades and has built a career worthy of the legend label. Even after so many years, the erstwhile Big Show does not seem to be slowing down, and his signing a new AEW contract is a testament to it. Speaking in an interview with Joey Franchise, the World’s Largest Athlete touched on his new deal, but instead of going into the technicalities, he chose to thank his boss, Tony Khan, for still seeing something in him.
“Let’s thank Tony Khan cause Tony Khan still sees something in me. So, I’m grateful for that,” said Show.
It will be interesting to see how Tony Khan will book Wight in All Elite Wrestling going forward.
