Skenes announced his partnership with Sheetz on Instagram while promoting the retailer’s new specialty hot dog, the “Big Glizzy.” The campaign featured the right-handed pitcher introducing the product and appearing in a video highlighting its origin story.
The collaboration is the latest endorsement deal for Paul Skenes, whose popularity has continued to grow both on and off the field. Just three seasons into his MLB career, the All-Star right-hander has emerged as one of baseball’s most recognizable young stars, making him an attractive partner for major brands.
In an Instagram post, Skenes “took over” the Sheetz account, writing:
“Paul Skenes here. I’m taking over the feed to talk about the big glizzy. Let’s get it! And watch the big dawg’s origin story…”
Olivia Dunne cheekily posted in the comments section:
“Well good afternoon to you.”

In another clip, Skenes posted on Instagram with the caption:
“My best pitch yet @sheetz.”
Dunne echoed the same comment, “Just give him the Oscar.” Justin Verlander’s brother Ben Verlander also commented, writing, “Lost it when you picked up the hotdog 😂😂😂.”
As per Forbes, Sheetz earned a revenue of $11 billion as of June 2026.
Pirates GM outlines what matters most to Paul Skenes’ future
Pittsburgh Pirates star Paul Skenes’ future was among the topics discussed during a fan question-and-answer session at PNC Park on Wednesday. General manager Ben Cherington emphasized the ace pitcher’s importance to the organization and his impact both on and off the field.
According to Cherington, Skenes’ commitment to winning may be the biggest factor in determining his future with the Pirates. While contract discussions naturally attract attention, the GM suggested that building a competitive team around the young star is just as important.
Cherington also praised Skenes for setting a high standard within the clubhouse, describing him as a player who leads through both his performance and approach to the game. As one of baseball’s top talents, Skenes continues to be viewed as a key piece of Pittsburgh’s plans moving forward.
