Cam Newton nominated for 2027 college football Hall of Fame induction

Cam Newton is in contention to get inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2027. The former QB is among the 80 players nominated for the class of 2027.
Newton began his college career at Florida in 2007, where he played for two seasons. He played the 2009 season at Blinn and won the NJCAA national championship before transferring to Auburn for the 2010 season.
Newton won the Heisman Trophy at Auburn. The Tigers retired his No. 2 jersey in October.
