Former New England Patriots legend Tom Brady had a viral moment with WWE star Logan Paul. At the Fanatics Fest on Friday, the two seemed to have a heated argument on stage.

During the verbal back-and-forth, Brady seemed to have lost his cool at one point. He ended up slapping Paul, which further escalated the situation. However, six-time NBA All-Star Karl Anthony Towns intervened and broke up the fight.

However, fans on social media were not sold on the seriousness of the situation. They trolled Brady for making clickbait videos and being a part of a publicity stunt to push a narrative.

“This is staged on purpose. Let the event be. Even more shocked that TB12 who is a legend could be coaxed into something like this. He doesn’t need this publicity. Fake to promote something else,” one fan wrote.

Brady and Logan Paul have been beefing since his appearance on the “Impaulsive” podcast back in February. The retired seven-time Super Bowl champion made headlines when he called wrestling “cute.”

This triggered a response from Paul, who claimed that Brady underestimated the physicality required for the sport.

Tom Brady shares his thoughts on starting his WWE arc

On Thursday, Tom Brady sat down for an interview with WWE star Cody Rhodes on the “What Do You Wanna Talk About” podcast. On the show, the ex-Patriots quarterback expressed his desire to try out professional wrestling for once.

Brady said that he’s waiting for WWE President Nick Khan to cook up a storyline for his introduction to the sport.

“I need to get an invite,” Brady said. “I’m waiting for (WWE President) Nick Khan to come up with some storyline for me to get in the mix. I feel like I’m retired from football, and I have an opportunity to go out there and still showcase that I’m a little bit of an athlete.

“I think I could get in there for one match. Come on, Nick. Make it happen.”

Over the years, we’ve seen several NFL players transition to make a career in WWE. Pat McAfee also dabbled in professional wrestling after his career in the league.

Former WCW heavyweight champion Bill Goldberg is another example. He spent three years as a defensive tackle for the Atlanta Falcons from 1992 to 1994.
