Britt Baker recently took part in a popular internet challenge, and nominated several of her AEW peers, including Adam Cole, to keep it going. The former Women’s Champion undertook the challenge in question to support her former on-screen ally and long-time colleague, Rebel.

This past May, Rebel took to social media to share a heartbreaking health update, revealing that her medical team had diagnosed her with terminal ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), a rare and severe neurodegenerative disorder that accounted for several of her symptoms and issues over the past two years. Later in June, the Oklahoma-born performer disclosed that she had joined forces with I AM ALS, a community and patient-driven organization that provides resources and support for individuals battling the illness.

Recently, Rebel’s AEW ally, Britt Baker, took part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness regarding the disease and in honor of her former on-screen stylist. The former AEW Women’s World Champion revealed that she had been nominated for the challenge by The Infantry’s Shawn Dean, before proceeding to nominate several of her locker-room peers herself, including Adam Cole, Chris Jericho, Renee Paquette, Jon Moxley, The Young Bucks, Kris Statlander, Orange Cassidy, and even her former nemesis Thunder Rosa.

    “🧊🪣ALS ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE I nominate @IAmJericho , @ReneePaquette , @youngbucks , @AdamColePro , @callmekrisstat , @orangecassidy , @thunderrosa22 Let’s show our girl @RebelTanea we have her back on spreading awareness for ALS Head over to @iamalsorg for more info on ALS or how to donate! http://IAMALS.org (Thanks @gailkimITSME ! 🫶),” wrote Baker.

Sportskeeda continues to send Rebel its best wishes for her fight against ALS.

Adam Cole and Britt Baker have been on hiatus from AEW

Britt Baker has been missing from action since she defeated Penelope Ford on the November 13, 2024 edition of Wednesday Night Dynamite. Rumors from last year regarding her supposed locker-room unpopularity had given birth to speculations that The DMD might be on her way out of All Elite Wrestling. However, Tony Khan has maintained that Britt is under contract with AEW, and during the media call for Forbidden Door 2026 last month, he hinted at the possibility of The Doctor potentially returning at some point in the near future.

Tony Khan was asked if there are updates on Toni Storm, Jay White, Keith Lee and Britt Baker. He said they’re all in different positions and some are closer to returning than others.(Forbidden Door media call)

Adam Cole, on the other hand, has been gone from programming since he vacated his TNT Title and announced that he had to indefinitely step away from the squared circle over a year ago at All In: Texas.
