Soulframe’s long-awaited Mounts features is coming later this year, today’s Devstream at the TennoCon 2026 panel revealed. However, the highlight is probably going to be different from some players, with a likely game-changing new alternate Virtue path, which is seemingly limited to an upcoming Corrupted Vadagar Stag pact for now.
Before we dive into what else was revealed, Soulframe is doing the guaranteed access weekend again this year. Much like the post-TennoCon weekend last year, all accounts that have registers or will register before this sunday will get instant access to the game.
Getting invitation codes are easier these days, but still, if you want to get in on the Preludes action, here’s an easy chance.
Without further ado, here’s the important things shown in today’s Devstream in chronological order.
Soulframe TennoCon Devstream abridged: Everything coming in the rest of 2026

The very first thing addressed in the Devstream was an often-cited complaint about the Temper system. Added in the Preludes 15 patch only last month, the Tempers system is a bit too RNG-reliant, so if you want your preferred weapon-temper combo, the grind is no joke.
DE is now making that grind go away almost completely, because you can now extract Tempers from weapons you dismantle, and then put it on any Legendary weapon by visiting Tuvalkane. It’s not coming “super soon”, though, so it could be a few weeks before we get this system into the live Soulframe Preludes build.
TennoLive demo segment coming after 2:30pm EDT
A lot of the meat of the next cinematic update (including Ben Starr’s new character, Tempest Bayor, new tileset, and more Envoy lore) is coming later today. Stay tuned for the TennoLive 2026 segment, which will include 32 minutes of Soulframe demo footage revealing these things.
We will update this article with more pertinent details once that goes live, but till then, here’s some bigger fish to fry.
Mounts preview (coming to Soulframe later, but not yet)

Once mounts are in, you’ll need to beat the Orengall quest (Shewolf Snared) to get a wolf pup, and then you can raise it into a full-fledged mount. Those who’ve been playing the Preludes build likely have the pup chilling in the tent for a while, and it’s time to rise and shine is coming soon.
Mounts are coming sometimes this fall (potentially mid-October), but there will be a new interim Preludes update before that to introduce some early pup-bonding activities to Soulframe. Mount customization options are also in the works.
Vadagar Pact and Corrupted Virtues

While we only got a brief glimpse at mounts, the more striking reveal was a new Corrupted pact Virtue system. Bringing the edgelord to the Envoy, the Virtues (or vices, if you will) of Doom, Wrath, and Death that KOTOR fans in particular will enjoy a lot.
For the time being, though, this Corrupted Virtue trifecta seems to be limited and exclusive to the Vadagar Pact. Available through the next cinematic story update, this Pact will launch arcing Glaives that bounces between enemies, debuff and control them with corrupted arcanics, and also spawn demonic steeds to trample enemies across the battlefield.
Swimming and Fishing

Envoy swimming animations are now functional in the dev build, but that’s not all. You can also stay on the shore and cast your slingshot-like fishing instrument to reel in acquatic life corrupted by the Ode’n bile. However, unlike the usual fishing minigame collectathon, Soulframe’s fishing is about purifying the corrupted fish and then releasing them back into the water.
Dynamic weather variations are coming to Soulframe
Thus far, Alca in Soulframe has been limited to a pleasant, partially cloudy weather. However, dynamic weather tech is now well into development, and will likely be shipping with the next big Preludes update.
DE are also looking into gameplay effects of weather changes, such as specific fish being availably only during rainy seasons, and wildlife spawning patterns changing to reflect the current conditions.

As I mentioned earlier, a lot of new stuff is to follow in the TennoLive demo for Soulframe later today, so I’ll update this article afterwards. Until then, stay tuned for more Soulframe news and guides!
