    Major Name Confirms Interest In Potential AEW Signing

    AEW has a strong working relationship with CMLL. The recent Forbidden Door pay-per-view was a collaboration between the Mexican promotion, All Elite Wrestling, NJPW, and Stardom. It featured several high-profile matches, and all of them delivered.

    Many wrestlers like Hechicero, Mistico, Persephone, Claudio Castagnoli, and more are signed to both AEW and CMLL. The Mexican company’s roster is immensely talented. Just like the Tony Khan-led promotion, it is constantly trying to sign rising stars. The recent episode of CMLL Informa featured independent star Johnnie Robbie. The California native is an amazing in-ring worker and has the potential to be a massive name in the future.

    During her Informa appearance, Robbie said that it was her dream to sign with either All Elite Wrestling or Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. She has been travelling the world and intends to fulfil all her goals and dreams.

    “I’ve been travelling the world perfecting my craft. Prove that I want to keep up with the best. Whether it’s here in CMLL or AEW, those are goals and dreams,” she said. [1:05:40 to 1:05:55]

    Tony Khan on Mistico splitting time between AEW and CMLL

    Mistico, the reigning CMLL World Light Heavyweight Champion, is a modern-day great. He is one of Tony Khan’s favourite wrestlers and is a former AEW Trios Champion. Khan spoke about the veteran splitting his time between the two companies in Revolution 2026’s media scrum. He also spoke about the strong relationship between All Elite Wrestling and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre.

    “I think we will be splitting time. I think – obviously, CMLL is an amazing partnership for AEW. And what a sign of trust between the two promotions to have one of the greatest wrestlers of all time now as a dual signee, joining us in AEW as a champion. Somebody that I have admired for decades, someone that is a personal hero of mine in the wrestling business … to reiterate, one of my all-time heroes in this business, somebody who’s accomplished so much.
