    Elder Scrolls Online Savage Werewolf set: location, stats, and builds

    Thanks to a recent Werewolf rework, Elder Scrolls Online’s Savage Werewolf set is going to be a far more popular option. While it’s not something you can get for free normally, and it will take some grinding, it’s certainly worth having, if you’re into transforming into a Werewolf. Otherwise, there are likely much better gear sets you can pick up, that won’t require having any DLC.

    While we can’t direct you 100% to enemies that will always drop the Savage Werewolf set in Elder Scrolls Online, we can make the hunt quite a bit easier for you. If this gear is on your radar now, here’s everything you need to know.

    Where is the Savage Werewolf set in Elder Scrolls Online?

    Update 50 for Elder Scrolls Online includes a Werewolf Skill overhaul, which means the Savage Werewolf set is going to be in a bit more demand. The good news is that it’s found in one particular dungeon, Moon Hunter Keep (Reaper’s March). The downside is that it either requires ESO+ or for you to purchase the Wolfhunter DLC for 1,500 Crowns.

    It’s been offered for sale during several Gold Vendor Weeks over the past few years, or at least, pieces of it have. It’s a full set of Medium Armor, and also includes Jewelry and Weapons/Shield. The following slots are available:

    • Mask of the Savage Werewolf (Head)
    • Jack of the Savage Werewolf (Body)
    • Gauntlets of the Savage Werewolf (Hands)
    • Girdle of the Savage Werewolf (Waist)
    • Guards of the Savage Werewolf (Legs)
    • Boots of the Savage Werewolf (Feet)
    • Band of the Savage Werewolf (Ring)
    • Loop of the Savage Werewolf (Ring)
    • Necklace of the Savage Werewolf (Necklace)

    There is also a Savage Werewolf item for each of the weapon types, and the Shield. It’s a set of gear that uses the Silver Dawn aesthetic. In order to get this set, you just have to keep running the Moon Hunter Dungeon on Normal and/or Veteran difficulty (whichever you prefer) and hope the set pieces you need drop!

    What are the set bonuses for Elder Scrolls Online’s Savage Werewolf set?

    While we can’t tell you the specific stats for the Savage Werewolf set in Elder Scrolls Online, we can go over the set bonuses. Stats on gear is largely dependent on what level you are, or how many Champion Points you have, up to 160. That said, we do know what the set bonuses are:

    • 2 piece bonus: Adds 657 Critical Chance.
    • 3 piece bonus: Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage.
    • 4 piece bonus: Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage.
    • 5 piece bonus: Your Light Attacks made within maelee range rend flesh, causing your enemy to bleed for 291 Bleed Damage instantly and additionally every 2 seconds for 4 seconds. This effect scales off the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage. If you are in Werewolf Transformation, you also gain 6% damage done.

    What builds get the most out of the Savage Werewolf set?

    While I could see Bleed Builds using the Savage Werewolf set in Elder Scrolls Online, I think it’s best suited for Werewolf Builds. You can play a Werewolf build on any class and be successful, so it’s worthwhile no matter what you’re doing.

    You just really have to commit to the Werewolf Transformation lifestyle. It’s a great melee build and can be played solo, but really doesn’t do a lot of AOE damage, so know that before going into it. Other than that, it has incredible sustain, tons of damage, and a pretty simple hotbar.
