    Machine of War event, New Verdansk POI, and more

    Warzone Season 5 patch notes are out, and the update is just a few hours away. This season, Verdansk has received a major POI alongside new gameplay features like HKD Killstreak and the Juggernaut Armor. Alongside that, players will also get to participate in the upcoming Machine of War event in just a week, which will help them unlock the new Mammoth LMG. Plus, the patch also introduces several new buffs and nerfs to the various weapons in the game.

    • Collect Fuel Cans across all modes during the Machine of War event to earn rewards including the new Season 05 Mammoth LMG, “Puffed Up” and “Soul Eater” Universal Weapon Camos, “Piston” Reticle, “Mechanic Preparation” Loading Screen, and more rewards themed around killer robots and heavy metal.

    Drone Labs Point of Interest

    • A new Drone Labs Point of Interest has been added between Quarry, Farms, and east of TV Station.
    • The two primary buildings are connected via a Skybridge and Zipline with multiple interior levels and accessible rooftops.
    • High-value loot is available throughout the facility.
    • Added a unique Armed JLTV that can be unlocked by completing a side quest within Drone Labs.
    • Added a drone obstacle course north of Drone Labs designed to provide an additional area for player engagements.

    Lockdown Casual

    • A Limited-Time Mode centered around the Drone Labs POI on Verdansk.
    • Up to 24 players comprised of 3 player squads and 3 bot squads for constant action.
    • Capture and hold rotating objective zones to earn points for your team.
    • Objective zones relocate throughout several epic areas of Drone Labs,, requiring teams to reposition and contest new areas.
    • Players deploy with their Custom Loadouts.
    • Players continuously respawn with a random Killstreak equipped, including high-value rewards such as the Juggernaut.

    Heavy Metal Heroes (8/6-8/20)

    • A vehicle-focused 50v50 Limited-Time Mode.
    • Heavy vehicles feature mounted weaponry.
    • Eliminations grant temporary gameplay buffs, including:
    • Increased movement speed
    • Improved weapon handling
    • Ammo regeneration
    • Armor regeneration
    • Added mobility pickups:
    • Flicker
    • Kinetic Jump
    • Grappling Hook
    • Increased respawn opportunities through additional Respawn Tokens and reduced Revive and Redeploy Tower timers.

    Prematch Backout Restrictions

    • Players who repeatedly leave prematches in playlists with Win Streaks or Champion’s Quest enabled will have their Win Streak and Champion’s Quest progress reset to 0.
    • Players will receive a warning before penalties are applied when repeatedly backing out while they or a party member has active Win Streak or Champion’s Quest progress.
    • Completing a full match resets backout tracking.

    Fixed an issue where the following attachments were not properly restricted:

    • Underbarrel Launchers for the AN-94, VX Compact, and MK35

    • Supply Drones can be shot down to immediately access their payload, or players can wait for them to complete their delivery before collecting it.
    • A portion of loot that previously spawned on the ground is now delivered by Supply Drones:
    • Approximately 40% of Legendary Supply Box loot.
    • Approximately 15% of Reusable Supply Box loot.
    • 100% of Personal Supply Box loot.
    • Buy Stations are also now delivered by Supply Drones in multiple waves throughout the match:
    • The initial deployment delivers approximately 50% of Buy Stations.
    • Additional waves gradually deploy the remaining Buy Stations to their predetermined locations.
    • Players can shoot them down to access Buy Stations before they reach their destination.
    • Destroying airborne Buy Stations also grants additional rewards.
    • This feature is disabled in Ranked Play.

    • Improved respawn positioning when no living squadmates are available as valid respawn targets.

    • Unlockable via Battle Pass Page 3, Battle Pass Blueprint Page 15.
    • Prestige Attachment: MFS Ambilateral Stock
    • Provides a massive bonus to fire rate and removes nearly all horizontal recoil. Aggressive vertical recoil that harms both aiming speed and mobility.

    • Full-auto dual submachine guns. Excellent mobility and firepower, limited at range by inability to ADS.

    • Lightweight barrel outfitted with deadly spikes dealing very high melee damage. Provides faster movement speeds.

    • Full-auto light machine gun. Twin reciprocating barrels provide massive damage with manageable recoil. Slow rate of fire, mobility, and handling.
    • Unlockable via Machine of War Event.
    • Prestige Attachment: 14” MFS Cascade Barrel
    • Specialized barrel removes pre-fire delay and movement penalties when firing. Improves ADS movement speed, spread, and recoil, but takes longer to ADS.
