Kenny Omega is set to compete at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view this weekend. He will square off with a 10-time champion in the world of professional wrestling. Ahead of the blockbuster showdown, Omega gave a preview of who he is facing at the pay-per-view.

The Cleaner will collide with Zack Sabre Jr. this weekend in San Jose. Sabre has been a 2-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion, 2-time IWGP Intercontinental Champion, 2-time NJPW World Television Champion, 3-time IWGP Tag Team Champion, and a 1-time NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champion in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Therefore, he is one of the most decorated pro-wrestlers today.

This weekend, Sabre and Omega will face each other to prove who is the better pro-wrestler in the world. Ahead of the match, The Best Bout Machine talked about ZSJ with The Sportster. He said that when he took a break, Zack filled his role in the world of pro wrestling. Kenny Omega highlighted that Sabre is an incredible pro-wrestler with the longest main event match in the Tokyo Dome. Therefore, the AEW star believes ZSJ has proven to be a top star.

“When I was gone, there was a gap to be filled because I was champion, then I was not, and then I was gone. Will stepped up, Jay White stepped up, and then Zack stepped up. Zack, he’s accomplished some incredible things since that time. He’s become very popular, I believe. And I could be wrong on this, so don’t take this as gospel, but I think he’s had the longest Tokyo Dome main event of all time, possibly. It’s up there. It was like 49 minutes or something like that. It was up there. So this guy can go. He’s a proven commodity,” said Omega. [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]

Zack Sabre Jr. sent a message to Kenny Omega ahead of Forbidden Door 2026

Zack Sabre Jr. has never defeated Kenny Omega in his career. The two stars have faced each other twice, and The Cleaner has beaten ZSJ both times. Therefore, it has now become a much more personal match for Sabre. Ahead of Forbidden Door, the NJPW star sent a bold message to The Best Bout Machine.

In a video shared on AEW’s X, Sabre vowed to defeat Kenny Omega this Sunday to put an end to their story in the world of professional wrestling. He called his proclaimed win over Kenny a stepping stone towards an AEW championship. ZSJ said that once he is done with The Cleaner, he is coming after an AEW title.

“I’m in the fourth year of this loving relationship between New Japan and AEW, and I’m actually not a critic of it, but it is very one-sided. Perhaps a bit of a love. We’re in the, what, the fourth year of this, uh, loving relationship between New Japan and AEW, and I’m actually not critical of it, but it is very one-sided. Perhaps a bit of a loveless relationship. So Kenny Omega, Kenneth, I am gonna beat you. I am gonna beat you by submission, and then I am going after an AEW gold,” said ZSJ.

Kenny Omega and Zack Sabre Jr. have brawled several times over the past few weeks. Therefore, fans are expecting an incredible clash this weekend in San Jose. Only time will tell what Tony Khan has planned for this match on Sunday night.
