    Joe Burrow’s ex-teammate urges players to “control” their “camp eyes” and veterans report for practice

    Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals have reported to training camp. The AFC North franchise is gearing up for the 2026 regular season.

    Breiden Fehoko played with Burrow during their LSU days, and he has a piece of advise to everyone returning to camp.

    “Prayers to all my brothers heading into training camp today. Control your camp eyes. That lunch lady don’t look that good,” said the former LSU Tigers defensive lineman.

    Fehoko regularly praises Burrow’s winning mentality, typically alluding to the LSU Tigers’ historic national championship-winning season. The Tigers went unbeaten and defeated the Clemson Tigers in the NCAA championship game.

    Fehoko had a brief professional football career. He played for the Los Angeles Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers before retiring in 2025. These days he follows the NFL and gives his two cents via X.

    Joe Burrow hasn’t reached the playoffs since the 2022 season

    Joe Burrow had a solid start to his professional football career. The 2020 first pick helped the Bengals to playoff berths in two out of his first three seasons.

    Burrow’s crowning moment was playing a major role in the Bengals’ run to Super Bowl LVI, where they played against the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams came out on top in the matchup, with wide receiver Cooper Kupp earning Super Bowl MVP honors.

    Burrow and the Bengals’ most recent playoff appearance occurred in the 2022 season. The AFC North powerhouse reached the conference championship game, where they lost 23–20 to the Kansas City Chiefs.

    However, the Bengals have missed the playoffs for three consecutive seasons. The franchise finished the 2025 campaign with a 6-11 record. Following their elimination from playoff contention, owner Mike Brown announced Director of Player Personnel Duke Tobin and coach Zac Taylor will return.

    “Our focus is on building a team that can consistently compete at the highest level, with the goal of winning championships,” said Brown.

    “They have proven they can build and lead teams that compete for championships. We trust their plans and expect to return to our desired level of success.”

    The Bengals have preseason games against the Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears, and Philadelphia Eagles lined up. Joe Burrow and Co.’s regular season opener is against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
