Indian Railways conducted a trial run of its hydrogen-powered train between Delhi and Jind, testing key safety parameters, including emergency braking distance and train oscillation. According to the Ministry of Railways, the 10-coach hydrogen fuel cell trainset for the Jind–Sonipat section is expected to begin pilot operations soon, while the hydrogen storage and refuelling facility at Jind has received a licence from the Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO).
