Ilja Dragunov’s departure from WWE was confirmed earlier this week, but the star himself hasn’t commented on his exit from the company.

Dragunov did, however, share his first update since exiting WWE, sharing his girlfriend’s video about their vacation. It seems that following his exit, Dragunov is set to head off on vacation, something both are excited about. He shared the funny video about all of the places he is expected to visit, which could be his way of taking a break before making a decision on his future.

Dragunov’s WWE exit came as a huge shock since he was one of the company’s hardest-hitting stars. There was a belief that he would return to the ring after WrestleMania, but it didn’t happen.

It will be interesting to see what direction Dragunov now goes in, since his ability in the ring is already well-known and he doesn’t have a contract clause.

Will Ilja Dragunov be heading to AEW following his WWE exit, or does he have bigger plans?

Ilja Dragunov could have a lot of offers heading his way. It seems that at present, he is enjoying his time away from the ring, but he could bounce back in a huge way.

AEW is said to be interested in the former NXT UK Champion, which would make sense given the run he had in WWE. Dragunov was the man who stepped up and took down Gunther in NXT UK.

Dragunov also had an impressive run as NXT Champion before his promotion to the main roster and his United States Championship win.

Many believed that he would be the man to step up and finally stop Gunther in both his Intercontinental and World Championship wins. Instead, these reigns were ended, and Dragunov missed out on the push that another win over Gunther could have given him.

Despite this, Ilja Dragunov still became a beloved star, and even though reports suggest that WWE didn’t see him as a money-spinner, some fans were behind the Russian star from the beginning and are now hoping to follow what’s next in his story.
