Halo: Campaign Evolved is out and this is the time for players who have never played the original game to try it and find out what made Halo so impactful. The game was practically the reason behind Xbox’s success. While the entire quest of the main game is fun and exciting, there is one section called “Truth and Reconciliation” that you might find a little challenging.
In this article, we will present a guide to help you complete the Truth and Reconciliation quest of Halo: Campaign Evolved. Do note that you will need to progress in the story a little to get to this part. With that out of the way, step into the shoes of Master Chief and finish this quest the right way.
How to complete Truth and Reconciliation in Halo: Campaign Evolved

The Truth and Reconciliation mission requires a combination of tactical movement and great combat skills to infiltrate the Covenant cruiser. Your primary goal is to rescue Captain Keyes, who is being held aboard the vessel.
You will begin by exploring a series of plateaus to reach the ship, where you must locate and use the gravity lift to enter into the cruiser. Throughout this mission, you will face a lot of Covenant resistance, including well-defended turrets and elite enemies. Make sure your combat skills are polished to avoid getting ragdolled.
Once inside, it is crucial to manage your resources and choose the right weaponry for the environment. You should first aim at some pesky enemies that can take you out quickly, such as snipers and Covenant commanders, to clear paths through the ship’s interior.
Pay close attention to your motion tracker, as Elites using active camouflage often attempt to ambush you in tight corridors. If you find yourself overwhelmed, use the terrain to your advantage, keeping cover between you and the enemy, and rely on your shield recharge cycles to survive challenging firefights.
Finally, after locating Captain Keyes, your mission shifts to extraction. You will need to escort the captain and your surviving squad back through the ship while dealing with heavy reinforcements.
Use your squad effectively to draw enemy fire and create openings for your own attacks. Remember that staying mobile is crucial during this phase, as stopping in one spot will make you an easy target for concentrated Covenant forces. Once you get this part done, the rest is a piece of cake.
