Political commentator Hasan “HasanAbi” has stated that Zack “Asmongold” deserves a permanent ban from Twitch and YouTube, claiming that the platforms are “terrified of angering the right-wing masses.” During a livestream on August 9, 2026, HasanAbi reacted to Asmongold’s recently uploaded YouTube video titled Why I’m Gone.

In it, the Austin, Texas-based personality discussed his two-week Twitch suspension after calling immigrants “savages and animals” and stating that “if it’s kids, women, men, anybody, just shoot them.”

After hearing Asmongold say he was not apologizing for his comments about immigrants and their children, Hasan expressed his belief that the content creator was “testing the boundaries of Twitch.”

    He elaborated:

“It’s pretty wild that I feel like this is a test. Right? He’s basically testing the boundaries of Twitch to be like, ‘Listen, what are you going to do? I’m not apologetic. I don’t care. I said what I said. Go ahead, keep me banned if you can. What’s wild about it is I feel like this is also testing the boundaries of YouTube’s terms of service, too. Because I feel like YouTube back in the day would quite literally ban someone for statements like this one.”

HasanAbi then claimed that “things have gotten bad in corporate culture”:

“Oh, my god! It does say a lot about how things have gotten as far as like corporate culture in general that this will probably be a slap on the wrist by Twitch because they are ******* terrified of angering the right-wing masses that have spent a good deal of time doxxing people that work for the trust and safety team at Twitch. It’s like really ****** up!”

HasanAbi says Asmongold would have been “instantly permanently banned” in the past

HasanAbi continued the conversation, claiming that Asmongold would have been “instantly permanently banned” from Twitch and YouTube before Donald Trump’s second term.

Expressing his belief that Steven “Destiny” was “banned for less” than Asmongold had recently been suspended for, the Turkish-American personality remarked:

“This would be an insta perma. Like, there is no shot! I would say, pre-Trump 2.0, this is a perma. Like, Destiny got banned for less, which is crazy to say. Like, he got perma’d for less, and he definitely deserved it! So, I don’t even know where we’re at now. You know? I feel like this would be a ban on ******* YouTube as well! Or at least a demonetization on YouTube as well!”

As of this writing, Asmongold has not responded to HasanAbi’s recent statements about him and his Twitch ban.
