The French auto components maker sees the country growing significantly faster than its global operations, its global chief executive Martin Fischer told ET. “Our Indian growth is stronger than the global growth. Forvia generated 450 million (around ₹4,500 crore) in India revenue in 2025. The additional capital infusion will take Forvia’s cumulative investment in India to 270 million (around ₹2,700 crore) by 2030 and create three new plants-a clean mobility facility in western India, a lighting unit and a seating plant-and increase its workforce by 50% to over 9,000 employees by 2030 from about 6,000 currently, Fischer said.
Formed through the merger of Faurecia and Hella, Forvia already operates more than 10 manufacturing plants and R&D centres across India.
Fischer said it’s “a good time for us to invest” in India. A shift towards better-equipped vehicles would drive growth in electronics, seating and cockpit technologies in the country, he said.
