Flipkart partners Netflix to offer mobile plan as loyalty reward

Flipkart has partnered with Netflix to offer its Plus loyalty members a free Netflix Mobile Plan every month after completing four qualifying orders of Rs 299 or more within a calendar month, as the Walmart-owned e-commerce company looks to deepen customer engagement through shopping rewards. The benefit will go live from August 1.

Under the programme, qualifying purchases can be made across Flipkart, Flipkart Grocery and Flipkart Minutes. Once customers complete the fourth eligible order, they unlock a Netflix Mobile Plan valid for 30 days through the Flipkart app without any additional payment.

The benefit must be re-earned every month through the same shopping pattern. Customers who are not Flipkart Plus members become eligible for the loyalty programme after completing 15 orders in 12 months at no extra cost.

The companies said the tie-up marks Netflix’s first e-commerce partnership in India and the first time the streaming service can be earned through everyday shopping instead of being purchased separately or bundled with another service.

Ravi Iyer, CFO and SVP, Strategic Partnerships at Flipkart, said, “As grocery, daily essentials and quick commerce become an increasingly important part of how customers shop, we see a significant opportunity to make those everyday interactions more rewarding. Completing four orders a month is already a natural shopping pattern for many of our customers, and this partnership transforms that everyday behaviour into access to world-class entertainment.

Loyalty is evolving towards experiences that customers truly value, and partnering with Netflix is our way of delivering exactly that. It is another step in the evolution of Flipkart Plus, as we continue to build a programme that delivers real value for our customers across more aspects of their everyday lives.”Also read: Netflix says Indian titles logged 688 million views globally in H1 2026

Laurent Uguen, Vice President, APAC Partnerships – Business Development at Netflix, said, “India is one of the most exciting entertainment markets in the world, and the strongest partnerships are built around real consumer habits. Flipkart is part of everyday shopping for millions of Indians, and together we are giving Flipkart Plus members a simple, rewarding way to unlock one month of Netflix Mobile through their monthly shopping milestones. This is Netflix’s first e-commerce partnership in India, and it reflects the kind of high-impact, consumer-first collaborations we want to build – simple, rewarding and anchored in the way Flipkart Plus members already shop and engage.”
