Female WWE Superstar finally medically cleared to return

WWE has had some issues with injuries over the past few months, with some of the biggest female wrestlers currently sidelined.

It seems that one star could be making their return to the ring soon, since Nikki Bella recently confirmed on the Nikki & Brie Show that she had been cleared after a recent assessment at the Performance Center.

“I feel more confident this time. When I went to the PC to get cleared, they’re like, you look like a Nike commercial. Because everything, if they wanted me to sprint, I was like 110%, like sprinting and just doing all the things because I wanted to prove how good I was, like, jumping high. But then it was funny because they go, okay, now go to the top turnbuckle and just jump in the middle, because they wanted to see how much I could go. That messed me up a little bit. I got up there, and I’m like, no, I’m gonna break my ankle again. I gotta come off the top rope. And I’m like, if I re-break my ankle right now, I’m gonna be so… I was good, I was good.” she revealed.

Bella was originally set to compete at WrestleMania 42, where she would have won the Women’s Tag Team Championships with her sister Brie.

Instead, Paige was brought back to be Brie’s tag team partner because Nikki was unable to be cleared. It has now been three months since WrestleMania, which shows that Bella’s injury was much worse than originally feared.

How will Nikki Bella return to WWE?

Paige and Brie Bella recently dropped the Women’s Tag Team Championships to Fatal Influence at Saturday Night’s Main Event, but they will likely be handed a rematch at WWE SummerSlam. If Paige and Brie win back the titles, then it would be an interesting situation with Nikki making her return, but if not, then it would make sense for Nikki to work with Brie as The Bella Twins once again.

Paige recently talked about going solo and having her own goals as a singles star, which include pushing towards several WWE Women’s Championships.
