The FIFA World Cup 2026 came to a nail-biting end in a game that saw Spain defeat Argentina in extra time at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sunday, July 19. Spain’s World Cup win—their second after a 2010 victory—came a day after England claimed third place by defeating France 6-4. It’s been an unforgettable summer with plenty of highs and lows for soccer fans, leaving sports enthusiasts wondering when their next fix is.

Luckily, there’s not too long to wait, as the FIFA Women’s World Cup is set to kick off in 2027. Held every four years since 1991, the tournament has attracted growing interest each time, with millions of fans around the world tuning in to watch the action unfold. But where is the Women’s World Cup held? What are the dates? And how difficult will it be to secure tickets?

Where will the 2027 Women’s World Cup be held?

Brazil is the host country of the next FIFA Women’s World Cup. It comes after a voting process held in May 2024, with Brazil competing against 14 other countries that had initially expressed interest in hosting the events. Other countries initially in the running—some dropped out further into the process—included Chile, Italy, Mexico, and a collective bid from Nordic countries.

While the schedule is yet to be finalized at the time of writing, Brazil has announced the host cities and stadiums as Belo Horizonte, Estádio Mineirão; Brasília, Estádio Nacional; Fortaleza, Arena Castelão; Porto Alegre, Estádio Beira-Rio; Recife, Arena de Pernambuco; Rio de Janeiro, Estádio do Maracanã; Salvador, Arena Fonte Nova; and São Paulo, Arena Itaquera.

It follows the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup held across Australia and New Zealand. The bidding processes for the 2031 and 2035 tournaments launched in March 2025.

When is the 2027 Women’s World Cup?

The next FIFA Women’s World Cup takes place between June 24 and July 25, 2027.

How can I get tickets for the 2027 Women’s World Cup?

As of July 21, tickets are not on sale. However, once released, it’s expected demand will be exceptionally high, so it’s key to register for updates here if you’re interested in attending the games in Brazil.

When is the next Men’s World Cup?

The next men’s tournament is the 2030 FIFA World Cup, hosted between June 8 and July 21 by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco—with the first three matches of the tournament taking place in Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay.
