Vesia and his wife broke their silence about their daughter’s death in February 2026. Ahead of Dodgers Spring Training, the 30-year-old emotionally reflected on the uncertainty of life and called their late daughter “the most beautiful girl in the world”.

Following the devastating loss, the Dodgers pitcher and his wife sought therapy to help them with the grieving process. He advised others to do the same when they go through a similar tragedy.

Alex Vesia fires back at online critiques following 38-game scoreless streak

Vesia recently fired a response towards Dodgers fans who often criticize the bullpen for its ups and downs. The 30-year-old pitcher said:

“We clicked off 40-something (scoreless innings) then we had a couple tough ones, and online everybody is supposed to get DFA’d” – Alex Vesia said.

He also added by saying that, despite all the harsh criticisms, he believes in the bullpen guys and the constant ups and downs, which help them evolve into a better team. The adversity will teach them a valuable lesson that will help them in the postseason.

Vesia is currently sporting a 2.34 ERA in the 34 appearances he has made so far this season.
