Destiny says if he were “to sue Hasan for defamatory speech, he should be able to sue Twitch as well”

Kick streamer Steven “Destiny” has stated that if he were “to sue” Hasan “HasanAbi” for “defamatory speech, he should also be able to sue Twitch as well.” On July 24, 2026, X user @Awk20000 posted a 41-second clip from Destiny’s recent Just Chatting livestream.

In it, the permanently banned Twitch personality expressed his belief that he should be able to take legal action against the Amazon-owned livestreaming platform if he ever considered suing HasanAbi for defamation.

While claiming that Twitch had “obviously been fairly selective about who they allow on the platform” and that CEO Dan Clancy “makes his preferences known,” Destiny stated:

“So, like, if I were to sue Hasan for defamatory speech, I should be able to sue Twitch as well. I think they should be a co-defendant on that because, in my mind, if they have obviously been fairly selective about who they allow on the platform, and then the CEO makes his preferences known as well, so, how is that not seen as an endorsement of the speech from the platform?”

The Nebraska native added:

“I think it is strange to say that you hide behind the nebulous cloud of 230 to say, well, we’re not choosing, you know, what speech is on the platform. These are just all content creator things, and very clearly, it seems to be there is some kind of preference given for some speech over another. So, how do you have no liability for the type of speech being hosted?”

HasanAbi recently said he is considering getting a restraining order against Destiny

HasanAbi made headlines on July 20, 2026, when a video from his livestream surfaced on X, in which he opened up about his intention to seek a restraining order against Destiny.

While commenting on Steven being denied entry to the College Democrats Summit 2026, where Hasan was one of the guest speakers, the Turkish-American personality said:

“I do think that it is coming to a point where maybe a restraining order is in order. ‘His most popular videos on his YouTube are just about you. Same fate as MorePegasus.’ Yeah. But I do think that a legal action is in order at this point because this is not even for me; it’s all these other people.”

Furthermore, HasanAbi called out Destiny and his online community for their “mentally ill behavior,” adding that the Kick streamer “constantly gets into trouble.”
