CJ Perry (fka Lana in WWE) shared a heartbreaking social media update. She opened up about her real-life experience and offered some advice to couples.

The 41-year-old posted multiple pictures and a video of herself on Instagram. She wrote down a caption for each of them to share more details about her IVF journey and current health.
CJ Perry noted that the bruising from the hormone shots she had been getting had gone down, as her body was getting used to them. The former WWE Superstar added that she had gained about 20 pounds in the last year and a half due to the hormone shots. She noted that they often made her feel insane, and swimming with fish was among the most soothing things she had ever done.
“The bruising is a lot less now because the body is getting used to the shots. Swimming with the fish is one of the most relaxing and calming things I have ever done. The hormones make me feel insane often and probably have put on 20 pounds in the past year and half from IVF hormones,” Perry wrote.
CJ Perry further weighed in on her challenging IVF journey. In a heartbreaking revelation, the former Lana noted that she had been trying to get pregnant since 2019. She added that wrestling and travelling acted as outlets of distraction for her while she tried and patiently waited to conceive.
“IVF has also been such a journey, so much weight gain and holding on to so much hope is very challenging. I am so grateful for all of you being a part of my journey and supporting 🤍 Since 2019 I have been trying to get pregnant 🙏 it’s been the hardest journey I have ever been on. Wrestling, my career and traveling was always the thing I held on so tightly while I kept actively trying to conceive and was an outlet for me to distract myself while I keep trying and waiting,” she added.
CJ Perry wrote that she started fertility treatments in 2025. The former AEW star noted that she prayed for all the treatments she had received over the last year and a half to work. She further advised couples to seek immediate medical help if the female partner fails to get pregnant in six months of trying.
“In 2025 I started fertility treatments. I keep praying that it will all work out and all the hormones pumping into my body over the past year and money towards IVF won’t be in vain 🙏🥹 Don’t wait ! No matter what age you are if you can’t get pregnant within 6 months go immediately and have your partner and yourself checked. Women go check your AMH levels which is your egg reserve and men go check your sperm count,” she added.

On the wrestling front, CJ Perry’s husband, Rusev, is currently on Monday Night RAW, where he has formed an unlikely alliance with Ethan Page. While there have been no rumors about it so far, Perry has made it clear that she is open to making a return to the Stamford-based promotion in a managerial role.
