AEW stars Chris Jericho, Hurt Syndicate and the Elite went to war against seven other stars at Double or Nothing tonight.
While fans were happy to see Chris Jericho, his April return didn’t sit well with everyone. Ricochet and Gates of Agony confronted him and warned Le Champion for not taking their spot. The Highlight of the Night defeated the veteran at Dynasty, but the latter still didn’t stop. After multiple arguments, the two decided to settle their dispute in a Stadium Stampede match.
In the latter weeks, the former AEW World Champion invited Kenny Omega, Jack Perry, the Young Bucks and Hurt Syndicate’s Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin. Meanwhile, the former AEW National Champion and the rest of the demand assembled the Don Callis Family’s Andrade and Mark Davis, along with the War Dogs’ Clark Connors and David Finaly.
The match was everything fans expected, chaotic and wild. Bins, tennis rackets and balls, a fire extinguisher, and every other tool in the arena were used. In the end, all the members of Team Ricochet were put through a table. During the climax, Ricochet stood last in the ring along with the babyface team. All the members of Team Jericho hit their moves on the former AEW National Champion.
Before Chris Jericho could deliver Judas and end the match, Bishop Kaun took the bullet for his leader. In the end, Le Champion pinned Kaun to win the contest.
After the match, the former AEW World Champion went through a table to pay tribute to the late great Sabu. Interestingly, it seems like the rivalry between Jericho and Ricochet is far from over, as the Demo God hasn’t pinned the former National Champion tonight. It will be interesting to see who has the last laugh between the two.
