New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo has spent the offseason rehabilitating from his injury. However, he left the fanbase worried following his actions at the 2026 Fanatics Fest on Saturday.
On social media, a video of Skattebo went viral. In the clip, we see him taking part in WWE’s Fanatics Fest activation, where fans had to recreate the iconic entrances of their favorite wrestlers.
Thanks for the submission!
The Giants running back decided to recreate Triple H’s iconic entrance to Motorhead’s song “The Game.” However, instead of spitting water out of his mouth like the WWE legend, he decided to do it in his own style.

Cam Skattebo first showed off his right leg. Then he immediately attempted a backflip on stage. The running back landed awkwardly, raising concerns about re-aggravating his injury. On a positive note, he stood up unharmed and hyped himself up. The video garnered over 6.3 million views on X.

The Giants drafted Skattebo with the No. 105 pick last year. He immediately made a name for himself because of his aggressive playstyle. However, back in October, the running back injured his left ankle during the second half of their Week 8 showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles.
After suffering a dislocated ankle, Skattebo was sidelined for the remainder of the season. In eight games, he recorded 410 yards and five TDs rushing, along with 207 yards and two TDs receiving.
NFL reporter shares his thoughts on Cam Skattebo’s reckless backflip during Fanatics Fest
Cam Skattebo’s actions during the Fanatics Fest resulted in a lot of criticism. However, NFL reporter Andy Stapleton came forward to defend the running back.
On Saturday, he shared a tweet highlighting how Skattebo did something similar months ago. He also spoke about the running back’s recovery.
“The reax to Skattebo’s backflip at Fanatics Fest is absurd given he did one TWO MONTHS AGO at the Brian Burns celebrity softball,” Stapleton wrote.
“But Skattebo was practicing as spring ended. His leg/ankle is pretty much healed. I wouldn’t wantt Skatt doing it, but ignoring all else is dumb.”
The Giants start a new chapter this year following a disappointing 4-13 2025 campaign. Brian Daboll was fired back in November, while Mike Kafka served as the interim coach for the remainder of the season.
In January, the Giants hired John Harbaugh as the new coach. They kick off the 2026 season with a Week 1 game at home against the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 13.
