In Guildrun, Ming is a vanguard which is one of the stronger classes in the game. According to the lore, he’s a bit of a drifter who the Guild keeps around for his usefulness even if he isn’t exactly reliable. That usefulness translates into several skills that utilize spreading burns as a means of chippaing away at his targets. This makes him a very useful ally for Funke.
So in this guide we will go over the best way to utilize Ming in repeated runs. This will include his best Active and Passive Abilities, his teammates, and his stats.
Best Ming build in Guildrun
Rank C Ability
Intrestingly, Ming’s starting Ability is a Passive one. Inner Flame spreads burns on adjacent enemies, while also inflicting more damage based on his maximum HP. Also if he has the Rush attribute (an effect limited for a small time at the beginning) for 5 seconds, the burns are doubled.

Best Rank B Ability for Ming

After either rolling a second Ming in the shop or getting a campfire, you can upgrade him to Rank B. This will give you the following Abilities:
- The Searing: Ming’s Active Skill that uses flames to deal damage, inflict burns for each Rush effect triggered, and Stuns the adjacent enemies.
- The Tempered: Each time a Rush of 15 seconds passes, all vanguards get 25% more HP.
- The Enlightened: For a Rush of 0 seconds, Ming is immune to damage, while also boosting all Rush effects by 1 second.
Since The Searing is the only Active Ability, it is by default the best one. However, the other two can also work in setups where you are relying heavily on Rush to progress.
Best Rank A and S modifiers for Ming
Bulk Formation is great for longevity since not only does Ming start with 25% more HP, so does his adjacent heroes. Also, if you want to keep benefitting from burns, Burning Restoration is a great pick. If you auto attack or are auto attacked by an enemy with a burn, you recover HP.
