    Becky Lynch’s emotional reaction during Kevin Owens’ return at WWE SummerSlam

    Kevin Owens made his return to WWE programming at SummerSlam. The Prizefighter had been away from the squared circle for over a year.

    The 42-year-old had to pull out of his WrestleMania 42 match against Randy Orton due to a severe neck injury that needed surgery. Although Owens went under the knife in July 2025 and the surgery went well, there was a lot of uncertainty regarding his return to in-ring action.

    Naturally, as soon as Kevin Owens’ music hit at WWE Summerslam, a lot of wrestling fans got emotional. Earlier today, WWE’s official YouTube channel shared an exclusive BTS video from the SummerSlam weekend.

    In one of the clips shared in the video, the camera panned towards Becky Lynch while Kevin Owens was making his entrance. The Man, sitting alongside WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus, was visibly emotional. It is a well-known fact that Lynch and Owens are close friends in real life.

    Kevin Owens made a surprising revelation following his WWE SummerSlam return

    At the SummerSlam Sunday Post-Show, Kevin Owens spoke about his time away and the eventual return.

    KO stated that while he was away, there was a moment he believed he was never going to wrestle again. However, he wasn’t ready to make peace with it. Owens further revealed that all the scans up to a month ago were coming out unsatisfactory.

    “There was a moment I thought it wasn’t going to happen, and I definitely did not make peace with it because I was not ready … but I had such a great group around me to support me through it. My wife, my kids, my parents that got me through all this. My friends. The medical staff. Even you. I would talk to you a lot. But I was never okay with it. And honestly, up to a month ago, I was like, this may be it. We kept doing scans. It kept not showing exactly what we were hoping for as far as the healing process from the surgery, and then I was like, well, I don’t know. Maybe it’s just not going to happen, and then a few weeks ago, we did a scan, and we finally saw what we needed to see,” Owens said. [H/T: WrestlingInc]

    Kevin Owens and CM Punk came face-to-face on the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown for an intense promo battle. It will be interesting to see if The Prizefighter can defeat The Best in the World to win the Undisputed WWE Championship.
