Alexa Bliss breaks kayfabe as SmackDown segment goes off the rails

Alexa Bliss broke character during this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown. The popular star is currently in an alliance with Charlotte Flair on the blue brand.

Jade Cargill kicked off tonight’s show with her stablemates B-Fab and Michin. The former AEW star cut a promo before she was interrupted by Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, and Rhea Ripley. During the promo, Bliss broke kayfabe and boasted about being better at promos than Cargill. Little Miss Bliss also suggested that she was more of a challenge in the ring for her opponents than Cargill as well.

“I like to give the people that go against me a warning, so this is your one warning; I’ve gone toe to toe with women on the mic and in the ring way better than you, so do not make me embarrass you before your career’s even started,” said Bliss. (H/T: WrestleTalk on X)

Jade Cargill defeated Alexa Bliss on SmackDown and then attacked the popular star after the match before Rhea Ripley broke it up. Charlotte Flair then had a backstage conversation with Ripley following the attack and vowed to get revenge on Cargill if the WWE Women’s Champion didn’t take care of business at Clash in Italy. Ripley captured the title from Cargill last month at WrestleMania, and the two stars will be having a rematch at the PLE on Sunday.

Alexa Bliss responds to WWE fan about the dark version of her character

SmackDown star Alexa Bliss responded to a fan about potentially bringing back the darker version of her character.

Speaking on Cameo, the former champion noted that her “Dark Alexa” character was associated with Bray Wyatt, and she wanted to leave the persona untouched to honor him.

“Now, about Dark Alexa, look, while I love that it meant something to you, it meant so much to me as well. That chapter is very special and very close tied with my time with Bray, so out of respect for him and the Wyatts, I’d like to keep that version of myself exactly where it is. And for the time, it is retired and untouched,” she said.

It will be interesting to see if Rhea Ripley can defeat Jade Cargill at WWE Clash in Italy this weekend.
