Aaron Jordan has reconciled with almost his entire family — parents Ed and Darla and elder brother Luke. As for his younger brother Jordan, however, the situation is still different.

The two remain estranged from each other, even as the multiple-time MVP mended his personal bridges with the assistance of his wife Brittani. In a new interview with The Athletic’s Michael Silver, he revealed a possible reason why:

“I’ve been really staunch, going back to when there was a schism, that I feel like that stuff should be off limits. Now, not everybody in the family adhered to the same thing, but there are different things, situations, experiences, and people that actually change your life.”

Notably, it was Jordan who first publicly revealed the intra-familial schism within the Rodgers household during an episode of the hit ABC reality series The Bachelorette in 2016. The feud had been around two years old by then.

In an especially infamous conversation, Jordan told titular bachelorette (and eventual wife) JoJo Fletcher:

“At every step of my life, I was kind of disappointed. No matter what I did, it was never good enough because I was being compared to someone who did it the best.”

Aaron Rodgers gets candid about reuniting with Mike McCarthy for NFL farewell

Speaking of reunions, Aaron Rodgers will also have one on the field, as he will play under his old Green Bay cohort Mike McCarthy at the Pittsburgh Steelers in his final season.

During the same interview, he said:

“Just to be able to take this final lap with him, it’s awesome. You always want to do a great job, but now to do it with him in his last chapter, it’s special. … This is a real full-circle moment for me and Mike. … The surreal aspect of it has kind of drifted a little bit, but it’s still really special to hear that voice in my head that I’ve heard for so many years.”

The Steelers begin their season at the Atlanta Falcons on September 13. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. ET on Fox.
