The Blue Shark in How to Fish is an optional boss on the third main island and is much harder to defeat than it would seem at first glance. It flops aggressively around the arena trying to reach you, and taking a hit from it will reduce your health significantly. However, if you use the island itself against it, the fight can become a lot more manageable than it initially is.

Here’s everything you need to know about finding and defeating the Blue Shark in How to Fish.

Where to find Blue Shark in How to Fish?

Just like Bing Bong, the Blue Shark in How to Fish can be challenged on the third island. To summon it, you first need to obtain the Standard Boss Lure, which is sold at the shack on the island run by an NPC in red stripes. It costs about 280 dollars and is placed in the top-right corner of the board.

Once you have the lure, simply attach it to a standard fishing rod and begin fishing for the boss.

As soon as the shark is out of the water, run backward to create distance between you and the enemy, and then switch to your firearm. Then keep targeting it from range to chip away at its health.

Since the Blue Shark moves too erratically, getting close to it can be detrimental. Therefore, avoid using melee weapons and try to opt for weapons like the submachine gun.

Another useful trick against the Blue Shark is steering it toward the coconut trees on the third island. By using the flora to block the enemy’s movement, you can dodge its attacks easily. As such, lead the boss towards the area with trees and move through the gaps to avoid being targeted.
