Twitch streamer Hasan “HasanAbi” has announced that he is in the process of taking legal action against CNN panelist Scott Jennings over recent statements. On August 11, 2026, Scott Jennings took to X to claim that HasanAbi said, “USA should resume lynchings against Black people.”

The political analyst also shared a two-minute-14-second video from a recent episode of “The Scott Jennings Show” on CNN, featuring clips from HasanAbi’s old Twitch streams.

While referring to the Turkish-American personality as a “radical socialist,” Jennings stated:

“On top of these candidates, in their own words, their surrogates are just as bad. Even worse, actually. We continue today our exploration of the radical socialist streamer, Hasan Piker. Now, he’s Abdul El-Sayed’s best friend, and he campaigns for him all the time. And African-Americans out there, within the sound of my voice, need to listen up, and you must listen carefully. This is who socialists like Abdul El-Sayed choose to keep for company.”

Scott Jennings then played a series of clips from HasanAbi’s old livestreams, during which the streamer was heard saying:

“I don’t give a **** what Black people care about. ‘Oh, Black people care about this! Black people care about that!’ Like, shut the **** up! That’s not how politics works. ‘Oh, well, Hasan, how dare you?! Like it or not, Black people care about this issue.’ It’s like, it’s such a ******* stupid stance. Any other Black folk want to engage in radical activist language in this ******* chat? Yes, dude, it’s because I am racist! That’s why! It’s because I am racist, dude. Back to a better time when lynchings were happening. This is what I like as a Black man. ‘Are you always doing too much with Black people? Leave them alone. I want to go back to lynching. Like, I get it, but relax, man.’ Shut the **** up! Okay? You got me! You got me because I am a racist person.”

HasanAbi provides clarification for the comments he made in the video shared by Scott Jennings

On August 12, 2026, HasanAbi responded to Scott Jennings’ aforementioned X post and provided clarification about the statements he made during his past Twitch livestreams.

While claiming that he was responding to a Twitch chatter’s statement, who allegedly was pretending to be a Black individual, in one of the clips shared by Scott Jennings, Hasan said:

“The issue is literally a guy larping as a Black person, saying, ‘Black people care about ICE.’ Okay? Random anonymous guy claiming, ‘Oh, Black people care about the border! Black people care about ICE! You don’t know what Black people care about!’ Which is bull****! That’s not true. A chatter that wasn’t even Black, by the way. Just a person that was either larping as a Black person or just claiming to speak for all Black people.”

    HasanAbi added:

“If anyone gets duped by this edit, I’m sorry, you are the biggest ******* moron of all time. Me reading a goddamn comment that I very clearly disagree with being turned into a genuine position that I have? Let’s be real, if I actually believed those things that they claim I believe, you would literally, you would straight-up defend me, Scott Jennings.”

“I’m working through litigation right now” – HasanAbi intends to sue Scott Jennings for the “worst instance of defamation”

During a livestream on August 13, 2026, HasanAbi called out Scott Jennings for sharing an “egregious lie” and making defamatory statements. The Twitch streamer then stated that he was in the process of suing the CNN panelist, claiming that he was “working through litigation”:

“The initial clip came from the RNC, and now Scott Jennings is highlighting it. This is such an egregious lie. It is such an egregious instance of defamation that numerous people who ******* hate me, like literally hate me, have actually gone out to bat and said, ‘This is the worst instance of defamation that I have seen. I hope you sue him.’ Which I am! I am in the process of… I’m working through litigation right now, because that’s all they do!”

As of this writing, Scott Jennings has not responded to HasanAbi’s recent statements.
