Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen will be entering his ninth year in the NFL in the 2026 season. While Allen has established himself as one of the best dual-threat signal-callers in the league, he has not led the Bills to a Super Bowl appearance.
On Wednesday, Fox analyst Rob Parker offered a rather blunt take on Allen, while suggesting how he might follow the path of Bills legend Jim Kelly, in never winning a Super Bowl.
Thanks for the submission!
“Does Josh Allen know he plays for the Buffalo Bills? Does he know there was a quarterback named Jim Kelly who was there?” Parker said on “The Odd Couple” show. “Do you know they went to the Super Bowl 4 straight years and were the best team in the AFC? And guess what? They came up with this. A donut. Zero. Nada.

“Josh Allen will be that guy who put up these numbers, won an MVP, and won’t get there. I believe that Lamar (Jackson) has a better shot at getting there before Josh Allen. I really do. I saw Josh Allen last year in the playoffs.

“The reason that the Buffalo Bills lost (vs. Denver Broncos in divisional playoffs) was because of Josh Allen. I know he had three touchdowns and 349 yards. But guess what? He had two interceptions and two fumbles. He cost them at the end of the half. He’s a risky player. Takes too many chances; he plays street football.
“When he makes a play and it breaks down it looks great, and everybody’s all about Josh Allen. But then there are those moments when he doesn’t make those and he does what he does against Denver, and it costs his team.
“I’m convinced he’s not going to get there. That the Buffalo Bills window will open and close and Josh Allen will not be able to get them where they want to. That’s where I’m on Josh Allen. He could talk all he wants that he’s gonna get there. I saw Jim Kelly, who was a hell of a quarterback, not be able to win a Super Bowl, forget about getting there.”
Jim Kelly led the Bills to four straight Super Bowl appearances from the 1990 to 1993 seasons. However, he never won a big game.
It remains to be seen if Allen can break the Bills’ Super Bowl curse.
Josh Allen’s Bills will play three preseason games before 2026 regular season

Josh Allen‘s Bills are scheduled to play three preseason games before the 2026 regular season. Here’s a look at Buffalo’s preseason schedule:
- Preseason Game 1: August 15 vs. Panthers, 1 p.m. ET
- Preseason Game 2: August 22 at Browns, 4 p.m. ET
- Preseason Game 3: August 27 vs. Steelers, 7 p.m. ET
Allen has led the Bills to five AFC East titles. However, he has an 0-2 record in the AFC Championship Game, losing both to the Kansas City Chiefs.
If the Bills are to win their maiden Super Bowl in the upcoming season, Allen will need to be at his best.
