The Elven Battle Staff is a Secret Equipment introduced in the Release Update (0.0) of Anime Expeditions on July 17, 2026. It is a Unit-type Equipment designed exclusively for the Elf Mage (Unleashed) unit, the evolved version of the Elf Mage unit. The Equipment focuses on increasing the unit’s damage output while reducing its SPA, allowing Elf Mage (Unleashed) to attack faster. It also completely replaces the unit’s original passive with a stronger version that unlocks multiple powerful spells as combat progresses.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Elven Battle Staff in Anime Expeditions.

    How to get

The Elven Battle Staff is obtained by completing the Mastery mode of King’s Tomb, the fifth Story Mode stage in Anime Expeditions. King’s Tomb consists of five Acts, an Infinite Act, and a Mastery Act. Only the last stage can reward you with the Elven Battle Staff.

The Equipment has the following drop rates:

    • 5% drop chance upon completing the King’s Tomb Mastery Stage.
    • 20-run pity, guaranteeing the Equipment if you haven’t obtained it within 20 Mastery clears.

Since the Elven Battle Staff is a Unit-type Equipment, it can only be equipped by Elf Mage (Unleashed). It cannot be used by any other unit in the game.

    Stats and passive

The Elven Battle Staff comes with two rollable substats:

    • Damage: +1% to +5%
    • SPA: -1% to -5%

Like every Equipment in Anime Expeditions, these stats are randomized when the Equipment drops. You can improve them later using Equipment Rerolls if you’re aiming for higher rolls. The Equipment also grants the Arcane Spells passive, which completely overrides Elf Mage (Unleashed)’s original passive ability.

As the unit builds Charges, it automatically casts increasingly powerful spells:

    • 3 Charges (Old Magic): Casts a Line AoE attack that deals 100% of the unit’s current damage.
    • 5 Charges (Eruption): Casts a Circle AoE attack dealing 125% of the unit’s current damage while applying Mana Burn to affected enemies.
    • 7 Charges (Storm): Unleashes a Full AoE attack that deals 150% of the unit’s current damage.

All Arcane Spells are treated as Follow-Up Attacks, allowing Elf Mage (Unleashed) to deal additional damage without replacing its normal attacks.

Thanks to the increased damage, faster attack speed, and upgraded passive, the Elven Battle Staff is currently considered the best Equipment for the Elf Mage (Unleashed) unit and is highly recommended if you plan on using the unit in harder content.
