Christopher Bell recently gave fans a lighthearted glimpse into his everyday habits during a rapid-fire interview with PRN. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver admitted he is notoriously slow at replying to text messages, explained why he prefers read receipts to stay switched on, and even revealed that he dislikes the snooze button.
The interview came only weeks after Bell returned to full-time competition following the fractured left wrist he suffered in a massive crash at Michigan in June. Since then, the 30-year-old has continued to race at the front despite recovering from the injury.

During PRN’s rapid-fire segment, Bell was asked how long is too long before replying to a text message. He said (14:04 onwards):
“Man, I am so guilty with this. I will text back like a long time. I’ll get a text message like, ‘Are you here?’ I’ll be like an hour later, ‘Yes, I’m here.’ You know, something like that. So I’m guilty that I text back. I’ll do it at whatever time. The day later, whatever. ‘Did you get that message?’ Yes, I did… a day later, whatever.”
Christopher Bell also said he strongly supports keeping read receipts enabled on messaging apps:
“I am a big read receipts guy for sure. I always have mine on and I push everyone to have theirs on. Why would you not have it on? Like, unless you’re hiding something.”
When the interviewer suggested some people leave them off because they are not ready to reply immediately, Bell disagreed:
“That’s fine. At least they know that you’ve seen the message. You don’t have to reply just because you have your read receipts on.”
The interviewer then pointed out that the sender might feel ignored after seeing the message was read.
“I mean, you are,” Bell replied with a smile. “That’s the truth.”
The Joe Gibbs Racing driver also shared another personal habit during the rapid-fire questions, saying he dislikes using the snooze button and prefers setting just one alarm before getting out of bed.

Christopher Bell heads to Iowa after another strong weekend at Indianapolis, where he climbed from 23rd on the grid to finish second. He closed to within a car length of race winner Corey Heim over the closing laps before falling just 0.287 seconds short of victory.
The result marked Bell’s sixth runner-up finish of the 2026 Cup Series season, extending one of the sport’s most unusual campaigns. Despite remaining winless, he has consistently put the No. 20 JGR Toyota in contention among the series leaders in several key performance categories.
Unlike some of his earlier second-place finishes, Bell left Indianapolis encouraged.
“Honestly, I didn’t think I’d be able to get there at all… This is a good second place. We’ve had a lot of bad second-place finishes, but this one is a good one. We were buried after qualifying. Adam did a great job with strategy to get us up there… We pulled together a really good day. We’ve run second a lot. There’s been bad seconds, but this was a pretty good day,” he told NBC.
It also continued his smooth return from the wrist injury that sidelined him for the San Diego street race earlier this summer. Attention now shifts to Iowa Speedway, where Christopher Bell owns two NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series victories.
